The log:
Mugen slung his sheath onto his back in a flippant manner that conveyed his good mood. How long had he been in this shithole? The swordsman couldn't remember. He could check, but that length of time was a depressing thought. Being stuck here was just like that goddamn island. And there wasn't going to be any grand schemes for escape. But that didn't matter. Mugen grinned. This place was already looking up. In Mugen's mind, that girl, Klaud, had been all over him. Playing hard to get, but that was all right. Mugen liked a challenge anyway.
His grin faltered slightly when he remembered that girl Marion. She had disappeared. Mugen had just been with her. And then she was gone. Ah, well, Mugen figured she had run off back to wherever she lived. In shame? Who knew. Shame, he had just started warming up to her. Mugen assumed he would see her again. After all, his stash wasn't completely depleted, and she would probably want more later. He didn't know or realize that she might have been gone for good.
Mugen slipped on his geta before, hitting them against the ground to make sure they were secure. It had been a few hours, but he still felt the effects of the opium. He was much calmer like this. Relaxed. But there was also a sort of restlessness, due in majority to who exactly he was meeting. Mugen's grin was properly back in place before swinging the door to his apartment open and making his way outside. He leaned casually against the building, crossing his arms, and resting one foot against said building. Mugen only had a vague idea of where they were going, having only heard a little of the shopping district. He wasn't worried about it though. This place, map or no, had become familiar enough to the swordsman that he could find his way around just by looking.
