Summary: Following Dizzy's death, Testament no long remained to exist as the man he once was... but as a Gear. A wandering soul who had lost everything he had in the wake of Walter Sullivan's mission. Even Nill, who suffered a tragic loss of her own recently, feels the need to protect her remaining loved ones more than ever. In the midst of hopelessness, a new path opens up... With Gabranth by her side, both the flightless angel and the knight search for a lost soul.

How long has it been since they started searching for him? For Testament, who Nill had only been able to keep in contact with since this morning through the use of her communicator. Both he and Dizzy were no longer near the Latimir Apartments, and the girl knew how dangerous the city had become now... She was aware of the fate that would fall over Dizzy, even before it happened. The list that Miles Edgeworth provided, and the spoken apology from the Gear were enough to make Nill's sorrow in the midst of Chrona's disappearance all the more unbearable. She felt like she would soon be losing everything, and that she would be all alone again. Just like she was in the Underground, before Haine was able to save her...
It was only through the kindness and reassurance from her friends, the people she met in Discedo, that Nill was able to find new hope. She was saved from her sorrow. But what of Testament...? Who was going to save him? Once she realized this, she knew that she had the power to try to save someone, and that someone was almost as close and trusted to her as a member of a family. This determination only grew stronger when Noah Fon Rosenburg, Gabranth, agreed to help her find the lost Gear.
Now, after spending so much time searching through the city, and being threatened by aggressive monsters that were nobly slayed by Gabranth's hands, they both found themselves standing by the edge of the eastern forest of the city. They had reached the outskirts, and there was a path of carnage, of more dead monsters... that lead the way. Nill looked both fearfully and worried at the sight, her hands drawn up toward her chest as she stood close to the Judge.
