This is what it came to. Ness was afraid, sure. Who wouldn't be, after actually comprehending what Walter could do without a moment's hesitation, all for the sake of getting to his Mother. He had no personal grudge against Walter for wanting to be loved, but where his friends were concerned? Yeah, that definitely rubbed the kid the wrong way. He came armed as he would be for Giygas in his future. PSI pulsed to life around both hands, one baseball bat in his hands, a yo-yo in his pocket, and another baseball bat tucked away in his backpack just in case. He made a mental note to kiss Paula for having the foresight to find him another bat.
He tried shaking all fear from his mind. It would be impossible for him to face Walter unless he was completely focused. A creak of the door opening signaled his entrance to the waiting murderer inside.
