Who: Big Boss, The Boss
Where: Near the graveyard
When: Right after The Boss arrived, and after Big Boss met up with Liquid.
Rating: PG-13?
Summary: After 50 years, Big Boss finally gets the chance to meet up with his mentor again.
the log:
He still couldn't believe it. This place continued to made less and less sense. Or maybe it was sentient in more ways than one and just loved to emotionally mess with its unwilling inhabitants like that.
Of course, Big Boss should have been expecting something like this to happen sooner or later-- but he'd rather have prefered it to be later. His heart and mind raced. He knew he wasn't ready yet to speak to The Boss again - his lover, his mentor, the person who had taught him everything he knew and who he had dedicated his whole life to and he still had done everything wrong.
He knew that now.
It was a mistake. Everything was a mistake. An error in judgement...
The more he thought about it as he wandered down Lander Boulevard, occassionally avoiding or shooting a monster or two, the more determined he grew to believe that this really was some form of purgatory. Everybody from his past suddenly showed up here. He had to settle family matters that, until this point, had been left to be unresolved, because there had never been enough time. Or maybe he had just used the time that had been given in a wrong way. Wasted it.
And now... her. But he wasn't planning to run away from his responsibilities anymore.
I hope I am doing it right. This time, at least.
Big Boss arrived at the graveyard, breathing heavily, scanning the area. On top of being utterly nervous, he'd just been fresh out of a fight with his other 'son', and Liquid wasn't someone to hold back back with his punches, especially not ones fueled by the endless hatred he harbored for his father.
"Boss," he muttered, more to himself than anybody else.
