Summary: Fai decided to finally return to the apartment, and he brings quite the present with him.

It had been three days that Fai had spent away from his apartment. He'd been given a place to stay, but hardly used it in favor of walking around the destroyed city. The mage needed to clear his thoughts after all he learned, and he needed to process them further after his talk with Nill. Perhaps he'd be alright. Perhaps he wouldn't. He wasn't too sure.
Fai didn't want to hate Kurogane. He liked his company, in fact. But still, they'd grown too close for comfort. That he could see. He'd stepped over his own boundary. There had to be a distance there, no matter what. There were just too many complications. But he'd be damned if he didn't at least end it off on a better note. So he had a present. A rare find in Discedo - alcohol. Something that would leave them both drunk enough not to care about the past or the future for one last night. They could be fun, run around and argue playfully.
Those things would never really change, but they had to be cut down to a minimum. The bare, at that. Things were going to be too difficult in the end if he didn't. It took him a bit of time to walk, still feeling the mild pain of his foot injury. The walk up the stairs was the worst part of it, but finally, he had arrived. Just as last time, the apartment was poorly lit. It didn't really matter though. He flung the door open with a cheesy grin on his face. He threw one arm up in the air, the other hiding the bottle underneath his long, white coat.
"I have a present, Kurogane!"
