Summary: Walter lets her go find Raiden, and Chii heads off to Horton to get her gifts, and to find her friend.

Walter's words, his tone, his whole demeanor had changed. It had almost frightened her, how he wouldn't allow her to leave even to go find Raiden and try to help him. At first, she didn't mind. Walter was worried about being caught. But when he still wouldn't let her go, when she promised to come back, Chii hadn't known what to think. And now, running through the shopping district, she still didn't know. He let her go. He let her go after being forced to.
Why did it frighten her to be near him now?
The persocom ran her way through the streets and to the last place she had been before Walter had died a few days before. Her bare feet hit the pavement in front of Horton and she called out, "Raiden!", not knowing if he was even there. But Bit would be, or VAVA, or someone. They could help.
"Chii! Chiiiiii!" she called, trying to get someone's attention. "Where is Raiden?"
