Who: Shinji [livejournal.com profile] prodigal_axe, Kadaj [livejournal.com profile] adventlead
Where: Somewhere around Marshall Street
When: Sometime after this.
Rating: PG-13 // R for language, probably.
Summary: Shinji and Kadaj are meeting up after the whole Prince ordeal. This won't end well.
the log:

Forgiveness wasn't something Kadaj was good at. How to deal with it, even less. Then again, everything had hardly stopped. Had to stay strong, at least in his head. Pretend to be, like he thought he was. Deal with Shinji's self-pity, even when it was him who should have been the one crying. He didn't know. He just didn't know.

Was this somehow his fault? Probably.

Kadaj had stayed, for Prince's sake. He had been planning to leave. For how long, he wasn't sure. But then other things happened. Things that he should have been able to control. So why had he chosen what he did? He was supposed to leave.

In fact, a pile of supplies that, granted, wouldn't last for very long, were stacked to the side. Ready for Kadaj to take with him on his journey. So why hadn't he left? It should have been easy. Should have...

When considering his surroundings, he should have figured. He was another moron to add to the mass, stupid enough to try and allow Shinji to make up for it. That would only torture them both, more. That's probably what everyone thought, too.

Paranoia was ugly. This wasn't going to help.

But that was what he was, wasn't he? Always expendable. Even over a kidnapper.

He found himself sinking to the ground, palm against his forehead, mouth curled down into a tense glare. The remnant wasn't really thinking right now. He was angry. He wanted to lash out, but he couldn't. So instead, he would remain silent there, allowing it to simper, until either he forgave Shinji or he lost it. One was going to happen.
