Who:
prodigal_axe and
7th_warrant and eventually
skybound_love
Where: Edge of the Forest
When: Late night. Sometime after the events of Dizzy's death.
Rating: R for violence and general dark themes.
Summary: Shinjiro brings Dizzy's body to her enraged protector, Testament.
the log:
Broken chrome spilled into dead trees, a twisted revelry of shadow beneath the double moons. Shinjiro rarely passed through this area at night, but his feet walked the path with that small knowledge. His gaze went inward, barely scraping the sky now and then, seeking a star or two. The cooling form of Dizzy rested in his arms, wrapped in the long crimson coat he always wore. Only her face was visible. Despite the bloodstains, it looked smooth, impassive, peaceful. She could be sleeping.
"It's fine, Dizzy," he murmured, his voice half ghost from screaming. "We'll see him soon."
He should have known. Why did he try and grow away from the dark inside him, when it would resurface and claim blood? Not only death, but the worst pain to inflict on her caretaker. After everything Testament had done to help him, he'd thrown him down from the happiest moment here, to this mad scavenger out for blood.
The foolish people would pursue him, harm him for Shinji's mistake--unless he could hold him off long enough. Or convince him--
He knew what he deserved. It only surprised him to hear that word 'bruder' still. But, no matter what, Testament would be that to him. Even if he had somehow ruined everything.
He rounded a corner in the forest and came upon a gruesome structure. And there, in the shadow--
Shinjiro smiled. The smudges of blood on his face and hands would look black against the night.
"Brother. I've brought her to you."
