Complete!
Who: Harry Mason and Simon Tam
Where: Marshall St Apartments
When: Evening of Oct 16th
Rating: PG for men being even more awkward than usual
Summary: Harry deserved better than a should be fatal wound on his birthday, followed by a long stay in the clinic. And so, though a couple months belated, Simon has a proper gift for him.
the log:
Simon could relate to having a bad birthday. The last one he celebrated was on Serenity, and it turned out to be a day remembered more for exploding engines and a dwindling air supply than cake. Though the doctor was certain a vicious stab wound and having one's left arm torn off again topped that when it came to bad days.
Still, he could relate.
It had taken a few days to find something suitable. Harry had suggested a book of some kind, mystery novels being a favorite. Finding any book in Discedo that wasn't falling apart was already a challenge, and it didn't help that Simon was needlessly picky either...finally, he had found something the doctor deemed worth presenting as a gift. As for wrapping, the best Simon could find was some yellowed newspaper and twine.
He knocked once, but Harry's door didn't really latch properly and swung open before Simon could do a thing to stop it.
"Um," he blinked.
Might as well let himself in...
"Are you home, Harry?"
