Summary: Reunion time~
the log:
Reno was good with numbers. Off the top of his head, he could tell you that he'd been in Discedo for 136 days. For those 136 days, he'd known Ocelot for 81.
He could also say, with disturbing ease, that it had been 40 days since Ocelot had been sent back, 44 days since he'd last seen him and 15 days since he'd returned.
Calmly- or as calmly as he could manage- Reno pushed all that to the back of his mind. Climbing the stairs and and making his way up to the roof. Numbers and trivial (but-not-really) thoughts wouldn't really do anything. Just convince him there was nothing worth bothering about and get on with life.
Shouldn't be hard. It's not like there was anything. Right?
Right. He reminded himself, perched on the edge of the roof with his legs dangling over the side. It was cold, but he couldn't feel it really. Didn't care enough. He just pulled a cigarette and a lighter from the inside of his jacket, (he'd been good rationing so far, but given the situation, he decided he'd be lucky if he go through the night without smoking a whole pack,) and lit up casually while he waited.
