Where: Between the Northern Lights and Latimir
When: Late night
Rating: R for VIOLENCE
Summary: Testament and Dio finally confront each other, a battle ensues
the log:

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Early evening. Night had just fallen, the last remnants of the sun's rays having disappeared not more than 10 minutes ago. The night belonged to Dio and his servants. The night would be his now...but he had to take out some pesky vermin first. Far away from the dilapidated building known as his home, Dio would wait in the streets for his prey. Those stupid enough to bare their fangs at him would pay...

[livejournal.com profile] skybound_love: It had been a busy night and Johnny was ready to just get back and sleep. By busy, of course, it meant that Johnny had been seeing how many drinks he could pound down before he started to get sick. He hated this weakened constitution of his. His stamina used to be far greater than it was. "Tch. What a bother."

[livejournal.com profile] guardianofman: Lute was worried, there was something going on and he didn't know what to do about it. Something was building, violence and despair. He could feel it, it was something he knew well. Building up and then sacrificing yourself for your country and family and friends. But, with everything else, the violence in the streets, and the more domestic issues he had been watching of late all lead to one thing, one thing which worried him a lot. Someone was going to get hurt, and he was afraid it wasn't going to be the person who deserved it. For now he just waited, quietly, trying to think of a way this could all work out, what could he do to give have a happy ending?

"There is so little I can do like this," he said softly to himself.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Hm...A sound. A far away sound. Dio knelt down and pressed his ear to the ground. Footsteps. Two sets and they weren't the usual monsters. So they were on the way after all...Dio stood back up and summoned his Stand and took two of the knives from his belt. He would be ready for them when they arrived. He slipped back into the shadows, waiting...

[livejournal.com profile] skybound_love: Dio was greeted by "Ode to Joy" being whistled badly by a very inebriated air pirate. Johnny stepped, or rather wobbled into his field of vision, casually balancing his sword on his wrist. He stopped every now and then, forgetting the tune, then continued on his way when he remembered the next part. He suddenly froze. He felt like eyes were on him.

[livejournal.com profile] guardianofman: "Have you talked to Testament?" he offered after a while. He didn't like the setting, there were too many uncontrollable aspects and just a feeling of foreboding. "I don't think being out here will do any good... it's been rather dangerous lately as well."

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Brilliant, Johnny was drunk. This would make things easy on him. Silently moving back further, he took the blade of one of the knives in between his middle and index finger. Focusing on Johnny, he threw the knife straight at him. He was only aiming for a shoulder shot, wanting to prolong things for as long as he could.

[livejournal.com profile] skybound_love: Johnny was tipsy. Johnny was a bad singer. Johnny was a shameless flirt and a stubborn ass at times. Johnny was still a human trained to the peak of physical ability. He lashed out at the object that flashed in the darkness, just managing to block it with his scabbard. He turned in the direction of the attack, yelling into the darkness, "Show yourself, coward! Johnny won't be killed by some faceless assassin, skulking in the darkness like a coward."

[livejournal.com profile] guardianofman: Lute jumped back, this was bad. He wasn't ready for a fight, he had yet to even find a suitable weapon yet. He was stuck with a long stick he had found, it wasn't his best form. He really was overly dependent on magic....

"Please come back, you're inebriated! This is a bad time," he wouldn't leave. Even if it would be the more sensible thing to do, his duty would never allow it as long as someone was in danger.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio didn't step out of the shadows just yet. He was slightly impressed at Johnny's abilities. But now, there was someone else for him to toy with. He decided to take aim at Lute and lobbed the other knife at him. He grinned to himself and pressed his back against the nearest wall.

[livejournal.com profile] skybound_love: Johnny struck aside the blade as well, deflecting it into the ground. He picked up the object and hurled it in as close to the direction of the thrower as he could guess. He charged in after it, hand on the hilt of his blade. "Come here and face me, you bastard!"

[livejournal.com profile] guardianofman: Lute was ready to doge, but Johnny had gotten to it quicker, he was rather impressed. He didn't think a drunk man could move so quickly. He was also rather glad his reflexes were not as bad as he thought they might have been. Perhaps somethings were less his powers and more his training. But still, they were at a disadvantage.

He reached out trying to grab Johnny's arm but was a second too late. "Wait!"

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio was unafraid. He didn't even need to rely on his hidden power yet. He quickly ended up on the other side of Johnny, out of the shadows, grinning.

"I'm impressed, Sfondi. But you're an idiot...and your efforts are USELESS!"

The World struck at Johnny, more than likely unseen to the non-Stand user. He had only met a handful of non-Stand users here that could see The World...He doubted highly Johnny was one of them.

[livejournal.com profile] skybound_love: Johnny was completely unprepared for the attack. One minute he was turning to the sound of Dio's voice, ready to attack, and the next it was like an invisible heavyweight fighter smashed into him. The wind completely left his lungs as he raised his legs and let the impact carry him, sending him bouncing off the ground several times. He shakily got to his feet, coughing. "What...The hell?! Dio, what kind of cheating are you doing? I should have figured you couldn't take me in one-on-one."

[livejournal.com profile] guardianofman: This was bad! This... this was like going up against a demon! Even worse, it made him think of the Hell kings. This was foolish, what could he prove? He ran over to Johnny, quickly checking him over hoping he wasn't too bad off. "Please, we should go while we can! Don't hurt yourself...."

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio laughed. It was a cruel, brief laugh. He didn't move from where he stood, leaning back with his arms crossed over his chest.

"But this is one on one...It isn't my fault that you can't see this..."

Deciding to play mind games, Dio looked up and simply spoke The World's name.

"Time has stopped..." He tossed another knife into the air before Johnny, aiming to just rip at his coat as time resumed. Dio, in turn, moved about 5 feet to the left of where he had been standing.

"Please allow time to flow again." With those words, the knife that had been thrown and frozen in the air moved.

[livejournal.com profile] skybound_love: "Ah!" Johnny exclaimed, looking at Dio's changed position and seeing the new slash in his coat, "You know what I mean. You're not fighting me yourself. You're using some kind of power. That movement isn't natural, either. I don't know what you're doing, but it's far from honorable."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "And you think a man like that would fight honorable, Johnny?" came a voice from above, as well as the familiar screech of a raven. Looks drawn upward would be met with the darkened form of Testament, his own wings out as he seemed to be partly in Gear form. By his side was another warrior, who seemed just as bemused as the sight before them as Testament was.

"I believe that is enough, Dio Brando."

[livejournal.com profile] guardianofman: Teleportation? No... something else? What?

He grabbed for Johnny's arm again. "Don't be a martyr!" he stopped hearing Testament from behind and looked. Relief swept through him, but also more worry. Testaments state implied very serious conditions. It implied much worse to come. He could guess the kind of level this would turn into. It was the kind he knew he didn't want to be part of, the kind that he and Johnny would be useless to help in.

[livejournal.com profile] nummeh_souls: It was cool, and appropriate. The wings suited him best, especially given who they were fighting for. Soul didn't forget about her memory, Dizzy's memory; and he wasn't about to let all that talk and snark against Dio to be worth all but nothing. He wasn't like the Gear, however, dark and threatening... Only the red of his eyes were. He appeared unarmed, for now, with his hands at his side.

"Yo." He greeted, giving his head a light tilt to the side. "Is it too late? Or do you have time to play with us too?" Throwing out his right arm, it blazed with a burning blue flame before transforming into a scythe blade with a flash.

[livejournal.com profile] satsujin_ai: A low chuckle resounded from the shadows around them. Yet another presence, hidden for the moment. The appearance of these other two would necessitate his own. Such an amusing entry.. heroic to a point. Meanwhile he was simply biding his time and nursing a wistful desire to stab Johnny. Nostalgia more than anything.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio gave a satisfied smirk upon hearing Seishirou. He showed no signs of fear or much other emotion beyond amusement as the pathetic "calvary" arrived. He stayed leaning back, arms cross over his chest, addressing the ground as he spoke.

"I admit that I'm surprised you weren't all talk."

"Funny," Johnny said, walking in front of Lute, "I'm NOT surprised that Seishirou is here, nor am I am surprised how full of bullshit talk you are. Honestly Dio, for a guy who wants to inspire others to follow him, you've got to be the stupidest, most insufferable, over- the-top villainous bastards I've ever heard ramble on dramatically."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "Johnny, shut up," Testament said nonchalantly as he glided down to the floor below. He knew that Seishirou was there as well...something he'd have to consider, certainly. But for now, he was focused on the man in front of him. Dio Brando...the man responsible for Dizzy's death.

"Soul, see if you can't deal with the Illusionist. Make certain that Johnny and Lute are safe. This one is mine," he spoke in deadly calm words, flicking his wrist out as the familiar scythe formed in his hand.

[livejournal.com profile] nummeh_souls: Soul didn't lose his composure, still maintaining that smug and befanged grin of his. "Talk is cheap." He resisted letting out a snicker as the Gear snapped at the pirate. Nice friends...

He looked over at Testament, his expression suddenly turning serious. So that guy was here too, huh? The famous killer... He nodded his head. "All right."
The Weapon was about to head over toward them in a jog...

[livejournal.com profile] satsujin_ai: This empty chatter did little to amuse him. To that effect, he slid out of the shadows with a deep smirk beneath his mis-matched eyes. The blind one gleamed while the other would seem drawing to anyone who held his gaze. On his shoulder, a shadowy hawk-like creature sat.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio didn't even look up. He made it a point to not address Johnny, now disinterested in him now that there was a stronger challenge before him.

"Tell me, are you all still bitter about that girl? Remember, it wasn't my hand that killed her."

[livejournal.com profile] skybound_love: "What the hell is happening?! Let me go, damn it!" Johnny yelled, struggling against what was binding him, "This is insane!"

[livejournal.com profile] guardianofman: He tried to hold Johnny back, there was no reason to be behind. It.. it went against everything that he was to be protected. He was the protector, he was the defender, he was the hand of justice! Yet for him, this was hopeless. This was a hopeless situation for him and it was eating him up.

There was movement from the side, he turned quickly to see Seishirou come out from the darkness. Two powerful enemies, only two of them with their abilities available, yet they also had two liabilities... this was bad. And... he hadn't been able to stop anything, if anything he had made the situation worse.

(( NOTE: The log now focuses on the battle between Testament and Dio ))

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "Call off your Illusionist, Dio. They have no place in this battle. If you want entertainment, I'm sure you can find it in me," Testament said coldly. Oddly enough, the illusions did not seep into his mind like they did the others. The magical synapses of his nerves fired off rapidly, commanding his perception to stay focused. His gaze did not leave Dio at all.

Testament lifted his hand, something of a luminescent skull forming in the palm. "Here, Dio...let's see how much you appreciate taking on two opponents that can actually fight...," Testament remarked, tossing the Phantom Soul towards the other man. Succubus snapped to attention.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: "My illusionist? He came here of his own volition," Dio said, casually stepping aside of the attack. He still didn't look even vaguely concerned and barely paid attention to Testament at all. He lobbed one of his knives at him and stood back again.

"And isn't two against one rather unfair?"

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Succubus snatched the knife mid air, her speed damn near impossible for a bird her size. In retaliation, a flap of her wings hurled several razor edged feathers in Dio's direction. Testament could only smirk as he flew into attack, swinging his scythe in a great cleaving arc. He would show Dio no mercy...he would ensure he could harm no one any further than he already had.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: "Time stops!" Dio cried, the feathers stopping inches from his face. He moved behind Testament, turning to face him fully.

"Well...certainly no push over, are you? No matter..." The World aimed a strike at Testament's shoulder that would hit as time resumed, if it hit. "Let time flow again."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Succubus appeared before the fist, catching it and redirecting the force with a smirk and a giggle. She gave a cute wave goodbye to Dio as she moved back to Testament's shoulder, where he gave his own arrogant and cocksure grin. "A nice trick, that time freezing. It would have very easily gotten the best of me had you taken into consideration the abilities of my familiar here," he chuckled.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio looked more irritated than shocked. "Perhaps now I know my target." Target the Succubus...kill it first, get it out of the way. Then there was nothing else to stop him from toying with Testament until he was satisfied. Destroy him...make an example...

"Come at me, then."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "Very well!" Testament shouted, both he and his familiar flying forward and swinging their blades in tandem. He had spent the last five years of his life learning how to fight perfectly with Succubus, and the two moved as if they shared each others' thoughts. His strikes were, of course, stronger, but if Dio was going to use his own familiar, he felt no qualms in utilizing Succubus to her full extent.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio grabbed Testament's blade, The World grabbed the Succubus's. He grinned viciously and threw the weight of the blade back at Testment.

"USELESS!"

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: The blade simply dissipated as Testament was moved back, the weapon being absorbed back into his bloodstream. Succubus, however was not so fortunate, and became stuck. She struggled against the strength of the other, but could not free herself. Testament wouldn't allow this, and formed a summon circle beneath him.

"EXE BEAST!" he called out, summoning the monster that appeared behind Dio.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: The World maintained its grip on Succubus and Dio turned to look at the other monster.

"Amusing...Just where do these things come from?" he asked casually, easily clearing the beast and staying out of its way.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Testament just stubbornly summoned two more, forming twin summoning circles with a rapid movement of his hands. Succubus was in danger thanks to him, and it was up to him to get her out of it. Succubus, meanwhile, kicked and struggled against Dio, making sounds of panic and fright.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: "Why are you so fond of that creature? Nothing else will sleep with you?" Dio mocked, again easily getting out of the way. The World's other fist suddenly shot up to grab Succubus's throat.

"Maybe I can get rid of this distraction..."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "She is no mere toy, Dio!" Testament shouted, his rage distorting his voice heavily. "And you will not harm her!" he cried out as he let the EXE Beasts loose again, this time sending three at him. He couldn't dodge all of them, not at this distance!

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dodge two, toss a knife at one, but he still got struck. The wounds healed quickly, but The World still didn't falter. In fact, the grip it held on the Succubus tighten further, threatening to crush her throat.

"Oh, but she is..."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "I was willing to be merciful, Dio....harm her further and I will have no choice but to release hell upon you," Testament warned sternly, the scythe reappearing. Using the momentum caused by the EXE beast that struck, Testament leapt forward and brought his scythe down in a great arcing cut. The Grave Digger spell morphed his scythe into a much larger blade, one that could easily cleave a man in half.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio noticed something strange the last time the scythe had appeared...Was it blood? If so...He would take a risk. He would still have the upper hand if he was right. This was an old ability he hadn't used in a long time, but...

"Can you use it if it's FROZEN?"

Dio grabbed the flat side of the blade on either side and forced some kind of energy into it. If it were blood like he thought, it would freeze and become utterly useless.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Testament's eyes flashed panic as the scythe thunked onto the floor below and shattered near harmlessly. What had just happened? The flash of cold he felt in his hands...could it be that Dio froze the blood? What sort of sorcery is that?! No matter, he would simply need to summon another one. With a flick of his wrist, another small sickle formed, which he sliced upwards towards Dio's face.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio laughed now. This would be too easy. He did the same to the smaller sickle.

"All of your tricks...Blood-based? How useless..." He looked over to his Stand and gave a small nod. The crushing force of The World's hand squeezed around Succubus's neck now.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "NO!" Testament cried out, making one last desperate effort to save her as he laid down a summoning circle with another flick of blood. This time it was for a Hitomi tree, one that would hopefully spawn right beneath The World. Dio's vampirism had proven to be far more than that which he was familiar with...and relying on blood for his summoning, he'd need to be more careful.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: The World threw Succubus back towards Dio before it disappeared from sight, recalled by its user. Dio quickly grabbed Testament's familiar, quickly getting his hand back around her throat.

"You care for this thing, don't you? Cute, really..."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "Enough of this...time to break that seal!," Testament called out, releasing the internal seal on Succubus's power as he formed two more scythes. The 7th Sign spell may be his last chance. And as he formed the summoning circle around him, blood began to seep into the earth below. This was his chance! He had to take it!

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: The World appeared again, taking Dio's place. He made a dive for the ground where Testament was forming the seal. He slammed two fingers from one hand into the earth, starting to absorb the blood. The blood of the Gear may drive him insane, but he needed to put an end to this...He was dangerous and stupidly resilient.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: And it put Dio just where he wanted him. With a sweep of the twin blades, he made a great cut before him, hoping to push the vampire back. Succubus should be able to get free then...she had to!

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: "TIME STOPS!" Dio rolled backwards and out of the way of the scythe. The World brought up its other hand and crushed the Succubus's throat in between them.

Laughter is all that echoed as time resumed, Dio standing up again with one hand over his face.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: The blades that were in Testament's hands just...dropped to the floor. He could feel it...her life force simply vanished from the world. The contract he had made broken in the blink of an eye. And gone was one of his best weapons...

No. No that wasn't true. He still had one more familiar at his disposal...and with a slice of his wrist, he began to silently form the summoning circle. The blood hung in front of him as the symbol was formed, magical energy focusing on the center.
[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: The World returned behind Dio, who started at Testament still.

"Are you still trying to beat me with your blood? It's futile..."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "NIGHTMARE CIRCULAR!" he cried out as the circle finished its formation. In an explosion of magical force, a great serpent of death, poison, and hatred was released from the glyph. Its roar was unearthly and its rage was directed at the Stand bearing down upon it. The strength of which it ran against The World was enough to crush the mightiest of walls.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio couldn't recall The World in time and was knocked back by the force. His Stand was so injured by the blow that is forced it to dissipate and left Dio prone on the ground. He was reminded vaguely of one of his dumber minions, Doobie...He was aching from the poison now, but it would run out of his system quickly.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Not before Testament was on top of him, claws extended. He stabbed viciously at Dio, aiming for vital organs and vessels. The claws were not blood based, so there was nothing Dio could do. He would rip this man apart here and now. This was no longer a man Dio was facing, but a vicious killing machine.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio's wounds healed almost as quickly as they were inflicted. He grabbed for Testament's wrists and brought up his knee hard.

"You're so vicious now, aren't you?"

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: No words, only an inhuman screech as Testament lunged back at Dio. His entire eyes glowed a passionate red, and his face seemed more like the maw of some demon than that he once had. His entire body seemed to be shifting into its full Gear state, as the fight went on.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio threw him back over behind him and scrambled out from under him, regaining his footing. He gave up on conserving the knives that weighed down his pants and hurled two handfuls at him. He had enough mental clarity to bring The World forth again, using his Stand as a guard.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: The knives stabbed into Testament at several points, forcing him to heel. And yet...a moment past and he was still standing, still staring Dio down. "You see, Dio...I've made a startling discovery about you and yours," he breathed, showing that, in spite of his transformation, he was, in fact, still very much in control of his humanity.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: The World stayed in front of Dio, looking as protective as a hulking creature like it was possible of looking. Dio sometimes wondered just how sentient a creature it was. He stayed back, though, his head tilted to the side.

"A discovery, you say?" he asked in an entirely disinterested manner.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "You bleed...you fear...you PANIC the same as humans do, when faced with something like me," Testament grinned, stalking towards Dio, the knives still protruding from him like some sort of grotesque art form. "And right now, that's what everyone is seeing...you hiding behind your familiar while I stand."

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: "In this case...It's working of its own volition. An extension of my spirit...it will protect me until I am dead. There's no point in forcing The World to move, is there?"

Dio laughed sharply, staring at Testament.

"Panic? Fear? No. You are merely a stupid git who doesn't know when to stay DOWN!"

The World rushed forward, aiming a strong strike for Testament's head.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: The blow struck, opening the skin on his temple and causing blood to flow freely down his face....and all Dio received in response was a dark chuckle as the Gear righted himself and continued to walk forward, talons ready. He purposely kept his steps slow, wings spread out as if he were stalking prey.

"Really now? You don't fear at all? Even when faced with an opponent that you can't kill? HA HA HA!"

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio still showed no fear whatsoever. He looked more annoyed than anything. He shook his head, glancing sideways at Testament.

"No. I just think you're a fool."

The World struck again and again while the vampire stayed where he was.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Testament now actively batted away at a few of the blows before catching The World's arm and pressing him into a painful lock that forced the joints into an awkward position. Testament smirked, looking over at Dio. "You know, you haven't punched me yet and still there is bruising on your knuckles. I wonder why...maybe it's because of THIS!" Testament cried out as he sliced his talons across The World's face.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio grunted, his elbow contorting even though he wasn't the one being held. The claws raked across The World's face, the same marks showing up on Dio's face. The latter angered him greatly, even though they were healing just as quickly as they were inflicted. The World disappeared from sight now and Dio charged forward.

"How dare you..."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Testament continued his wild smirk, slashing at Dio as he came towards him. He may have been on the ropes, but he refused to fall. He wouldn't give Dio the pleasure. He would show Discedo what it meant to stand.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio avoided the slash by dropping to one knee and aiming a sliding kick for Testament's ankle. This was nothing...He wanted to make an example of Testament; an example of what happened when you stood against one of the most powerful beings in this place.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Testament's other hand went to grab at Dio's hair, ripping it upwards as he took the hit to his leg, still refusing to fall.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: The World's arm appeared to swat away Testament's hand. Dio dove at his knees, still trying to take him down.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "I refuse....to fall!" Testament cried out, still undetered as he thrust his talons down into Dio's neck. Nothing short of everything Dio could muster would defeat Testament now. His determination was as super human as his abilities. Until his last breath, he would never surrender to Dio's might. This was what it meant to stand.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio was struck but started to laugh. He stood with the talons in his neck and forced blood out of the wound and into Testament's face. He would injure himself just to give himself an advantage...

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Shit...he should have seen such a cheap move coming. Blinded, he swatted at the air in front of him, hoping to make that neck wound all the worse on Dio. He was this close to beating him, he knew it! Without his scythe, without his summons, he was fighting on sheer willpower alone and it was WORKING.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio jerked away from Testament, laughing now. He had the upper hand again...Whatever pointless "stand" against him was, it would ultimately mean nothing.

"THE WORLD! TIME STOPS!"

Time froze. For nine second, Dio had total control of the situation...The last of his knives were now in the air around Testament and The World was poised to strike as time resumed.

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: Pain ripped through Testament's body like a wildfire, more knives pinning his body. The blow from The World sent him back further, and blood was flowing like a river onto the ground below him. He was on his last legs...but he was till ON then. Testament still refused to kneel, to show any sings of loss. He stood proudly before Dio and smiled recklessly, a flash of brilliance in his eyes. Dio had still not yet won.

Quickly, Testament poured his blood into a familiar summoning circle before him. This had worked brilliantly before, it would do so again. He had just enough energy to summon the Nightmare....

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: That same trick wouldn't work again. He was being reminded of Jotaro and it was infuriating. Dio's rage was building more and more. It wasn't clouding his judgement, but instead making his attack more fierce and more effective. He had finally had enough of toying with Testament and wanted to put an end to this. He would use his own hand rather than The World's.

"STAY DOWN, YOU WORTHLESS CUR! TIME STOPS!"

Dio moved behind Testament, moving to deal a vicious downward strike. If it hit, it would go through Testament's chest, destroying vital organs that were in the way. He wanted to put an end to this...to spit on the broken and defeated body, to kick Testament in the face while he was down. He wanted to make an example of what would happen if you stood against him...

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: In a bloody flash...Testament could feel it. Not just the indescribable pain he was in...but the spark of his life force fading. As time resumed, he splattered onto the floor below, rolling a distance away from Dio before finally crashing into a spot of debris. In those next few moments, he struggled to breathe...to think...to do anything. And yet even still, in those moments before death, he found the will he needed. And, as if by some miracle, he slowly...surely...crawled to his feet. His body was a mass of black and red...not a spot of him was clean of blood, his own or Dio's. He looked like a man broken and yet...he stood.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio was just pissed off now. Anger fueled his every motion. It showed on his blood-covered face, his lip twitching slightly. He snarled as he stepped forward, walking angrily. He growled as he spoke, his body bristling with the rage he felt.

"Stay DOWN, you idiot! Learn your PLACE!"

The World wasn't even present. Dio felt no need to use his Stand against a dying man...a stupid, idiotic dying man who didn't know where he belonged. He grabbed for Testament's throat and snarled, "I will feel you die beneath my grasp..."

[livejournal.com profile] 7th_warrant: "You will....feel me die...as I stand," Testament spat, tossing bits of blood onto Dio's face as he spoke. And defiantly, he grinned, knowing his death would bring Dio nothing. And it would give the people he cared about...it would give them everything.

[livejournal.com profile] zawarudo: Dio's fingers thrust into Testament's throat, his eye twitching as the blood hit his cheek. His death would bring him little satisfaction...He couldn't make him fall. He would absorb the blood that was left in the dying creature and retrieve his knives, but the satisfaction he wanted of making him fall, of making everyone despair would never be gotten. He did make an example of him, however...No matter how determined someone was to stand against him, they would eventually fall.
