Who: Watari Yutaka [
scienceinacan], Ichinomiya Kantarou [
kan_chyan], & anyone else present with Kan-chan? ♥
Where: Mariner High School
When: January 17, Evening
Rating: PG
Summary: Watari and his trusty little partner-owl zoom through the scary-monster-zombie-whatever-littered evening streets of Discedo to the presumably safe haven of a.... high school. :D
the log:
So, in retrospect, Watari Yutaka should have asked them for more details on exactly how to get to the High School Soul-kun mentioned. Of course, any sort of regret regarding that was kind of... too late now. Especially with the strange creatures prowling freely all over the streets. He had to thank the fact that even if his powers were amazingly compromised at the moment, some aspects remained the same-- like that heartbeat. Those things look like they were conditioned to pick out nice, fresh, and healthy living heartbeats! He was also glad now he didn't go on with that move of fitting 003 with a synthetic heart... it made them all the more safer now at least!
Slipping around from one corner, and briefly stepping out into the moonlight before quickly darting into another set of shadows across the streets, Watari stopped to look around, searching for any big buildings that could look like a school. So far, all he saw were buildings that looked like... well, they looked like apartment buildings, not huge compounds housing tens of classrooms. The street ahead looked like it was going to head to nowhere, but in the distance, there looked to be some not-residential-looking buildings. That direction looked like it was worth looking into.
A cautionary glance here and there, he motioned for 003 to follow him as he made his way towards the direction he'd decided, making very conscious efforts to slip and sneak past the dangerous looking creatures.
Eventually, he did reach a big building that looked like it could pass for a school. Or the remains of a school anyway; that torn down wall briefly made Watari stop and have second thoughts about anyone actually living in the decrepit building. There were some lights, at least, but...
He shrugged anyway, effectively stopping any more doubts from forming in his brilliant mind. 003 and he would deal with the problems to be found in that place. And, anyway, as painful as the prospect of being mauled by a big and scary creature lying in wait inside that supposedly-safe building, the blond scientist couldn't really worry too much about it. Having died once, it really felt like a been-there-done-that affair...
"Let's go 003, this is a long shot-- gotta make it in one breath! ... or, let' see... ten seconds flat- 1... 2... go!"
And he was running, without even waitiing for the street to clear for that prickling feeling that something nastier was lurking in the shadows he'd taken refuge in. The rush took him an extra eight seconds-- but the closest door he could find was locked! That made him panic, a bit... especially with several monsters having noticed him by then. He grabbed 003 then and stuffed the small mechanical owl into his lab pocket before running... very... very... fast along the school building in search of an opening.
Salvation came in the form of a... front entrance. When he found it, he made a note of giving himself a very exasperated slap on the forehead once he was safer-- which was about a minute later, when he was inside the High School.
Thankfully, it didn't look like there were any mutilated teachers from hell present...
