the log:

Follow the people that look like they need to get drunk.

Jade sighed at the recalled memory, as he walked briskly towards god knows where. His directions to get to the bar weren't exactly detailed in description, so he had to ask around for its location, relishing every little detail even if the information he gathered wasn't all that adequate anyway.

"The things a man does for a drink," he told himself exasperatedly, as he took a left at the road after Latimir.

If there was any other situation that called for him to leave the sanctity of his room, he would have ignored it completely, or at least made some sort of excuse as to avoid it. The ruckus that those hallucinations (some called it nightmares, but as far as Jade knew, you had to be asleep for any vision to be considered a nightmare, so he chose the politically correct term instead) created around and within him brought upon an unwanted fatigue. Not to mention a certain confusion, doubt and the reopening of old wounds, but he wasn't about to make a list.

And acting as if he was still in Malkuth, Jade concluded that only alcohol could help him out.

He stopped walking and scanned his surroundings. An intersection. He could go right first and see where that led him, but the darkness that loomed near that direction gave him a sharp uncertainty. Jade took his chances and walked left, where, by some divine intervention, he stumbled upon the Shopping District. Surely the bar wasn't far--he smiled. The Northern Lights Bar.

Stepping inside, Jade gave up the idea of scanning the room for familiar faces and took a seat. He wasn't about to disclose what he saw to Lucca, despite her camaraderie on the matter, but he needed a distraction.
