Summary: Mikami has found his God, and finally, they may speak alone.

How did Light Yagami, Kira, feel about Mikami Teru?
He was a useful dog, that much was clear enough. He was obedient...

What troubled Kami was his mention of "losing faith" and "failng him once"... Had he lost to Near after arriving here? It was all he could assume that Mikami had caused him to lose to Near; that thought made Light a little angry, but not as much as he would have been (had he really know the extent of his loss) so he dismissed and merely smiled with satisfaction. Mikami was here, and there was no computers or cellphones here. It was man-to-man and L could not possibly know.

Of course, he had suspected for some time that L knew more than he said. But L would never get his confession, never. He was prepared to kill Ryuuzaki if need be. Then there was that oddball who had mentioned L on their journal... but Light wasn't pinged by it at all. An acquaintance, at best. Light sighed, pushing open the school door.
