When: Shortly after Mello's arrival

Summary: Mello and Near meet for the first time face to face in months.
the log:
Near sat in the middle of the room with his communication device, twirling his hair absent-mindedly around a finger. He was beginning to become edgey with the lack of food (not that he ate much anyway, but two days without food was enough to make anyone anxious) and the fact that there was nothing to occupy his hands with: no toys, no dice, no matchsticks even. Not only that, but he couldn't even go out and scavenge for any of those, considering the Sniffer dogs could eat him alive if they wanted.
It was strange to think that Mello was here after only two days before (in his reality anyway) he had been told that Mello's body was burned in the church fire along with Kiyomi Takada's. An inappropriate death for him, unfortunately. His appearance however only served as more solid support that the people here were not only brought from different universes, but from different timelines as well. This entire situation was getting out of hand really.
