It only took a few minutes for Esther to be out the door and running down Marshall Street. Thank God the Cardinal had found herself near the hospital and not in one of the more dangerous parts of the city; that could have been disastrous. Hopefully she had made it inside the hospital safely.
Though...Her Grace, Cardinal Caterina Sforza...in Discedo? It was hard to believe. What were the scientists thinking? This changed so many things...
Esther mentally kicked herself. Right now she should be focusing on the task at hand: getting to the hospital and protecting the Cardinal. There would be plenty of time later to think of the future.
