open log; ongoing

Who: Sweeney Todd, OPEN.
Where: Roof of the Marshall Street apartments.
When: Late evening.
Rating: PG - PG13
Summary: Sweeney takes a breather up on the roof.
the log:

The moons were bright tonight. Sweeney felt that their shine along with the cool, seasonal breeze up here felt very pleasant indeed and, surprisingly, it was enough to put his mind at ease. He could not go out walking tonight when the dogs were out hunting and those queer little ghosts with lanterns floated about. He counted three hovering dots of light that he presumed to be their lamps down on the streets below, regarding them with a resigned glance.

Would his gaze be as frank and acceptant if he was still in London, watching these creatures scurry about?

Much has changed since then.

It was hard to say if it had all been for better or worse. Seeing Johanna again, being reunited with Lucy, having a family...that was all good. Very, very good. But the dangers that lurked in this place, being held captive and used by sly strangers presiding over them like deities of a sort, never being able to truly die...

That certainly was not good.

And this talk of repopulation. Sweeney quite honestly did not know what to make of that. One child was enough, to be frank.

A new world. Ours to build and live lives that were denied to us.

Standing on the edge of the roof looking out over Marshall Street, the barber raised his dark eyes to the night sky.

There's no place like Discedo.
