the log:
The day had been long. Exceptionally long, even. It was supposed to be busy to begin with, what with the plans to get things started at the docks. He knew he had a lot to take care of that day, but nothing prepared him for what actually happened.

Sanji making a return totally threw a wrench into his mental state. He wasn't as focused as he wanted to be - something that would pass once everything had settled in.

The fact that they'd come to a decision of sorts about their situation didn't make things any less distracting. His thoughts had been at all ends of the spectrum for the entirety of the day. And really, he was grateful it was over, in a sense.

It didn't take long after arriving back at the apartment for Zoro to get his hands on the very very small amount of sake he had left. He was proud of himself for making it last as long as he did, but this was the end of the line for the good-tasting liquor. There was no way it could possibly be stretched out any further. With that thought in mind, he detatched the scabbards from his waistline, placing them carefully down with one hand before flopping tiredly on the couch.

His mind began to replay the days thoughts. Over and over. There was still disbelief; One in that Sanji had returned, and two in they'd made the decision to roll with... well, whatever it was.

But what he couldn't get out of his head more than anything else were the looks of pain. Suppressed winces. His curiosity was getting the better of him - hell, whatever it was, he was probably involved too. That's how things worked with the Straw Hats, after all. He'd find out, thought probably not on that night. He didn't expect it. Even though he wanted to - much to his initial chagrin about the thought - see Sanji again, he got the thought of Chopper catching wind of the injuries in his head. And if that was the case, Sanji'd be staying in the hospital at least one night.

There were so many questions. Some related to the Grand Line, and others that had nothing to do with it. Like.. Umi. Had he seen her yet? How was she taking it all? He hadn't asked her when he saw her earlier. Excitement or no, she needed to find out from Sanji himself, she deserved at least that much... even if it meant not knowing right away what she thought of things.

He sighed. For a guy who supposedly didn't think much (At least according to Sanji), he sure as hell couldn't see to turn his brain off.
