Cuddy strode down the hallway towards Zoe's room, the papers with her blood test results in hand. Even here, she was more of an administrator than an actual doctor (crises where as many hands as possible were needed aside), and she could have easily asked Elrin to deliver the news for her-- but she had privately been thinking of Zoe as her patient, and she wanted to be the one to tell her. In this business, especially in a place like this, one didn't always get a chance to deliver good news.
She slowed a little as she approached Zoe's door, pushing it open quietly in case the girl was asleep. "Zoe?" she said softly.
