Summary: Sometimes, there are exceptions to the rules.
the log: Tohma sighed and leaned against his pillows. He hated feeling this way--useless and unable to help those he cared about. If he hadn't mentioned his brother-in-law to the wrong person, none of this would have ever happened. He would be well and able to stand by his wife's side during the examination. Instead, he was confined to this hospital room.
For the tenth time that minute, Tohma glanced at the door, half-expecting Mika to walk in. She was a strong woman; she would be fine. It was probably just the stress from suddenly being pulled into a new world. The results will be good, he reminded himself. They always were.
