Summary: Axel's isolated himself to recover from the removal of his chip and to prevent himself from accidentally hurting his friends, but Sora thinks they've been apart too long.

He's locked himself up for four days now, taking the first mostly to sleep or be sick if he needed to (which was often, he mentally noted, unhappily), and now to practice regaining control of his powers, which he had sorely lost practice with. It was a struggle to contain the fire at first, watching it burst forth from his palms without him even thinking about it. He had reigned it in significantly more since then, however, having unexpected spurts only sometimes; more often getting results different than expected when he tried to summon it.

He was therefore hesitant to let Sora see him when he requested it, but he silently agreed with the teen: a few days more really was too long to go without seeing him, and so he chose to let him in. He had missed both of his lovers in his seclusion--Roxas' gentle seriousness and Sora's cheerful optimism--and so seeing the brunette was a welcome reprieve from his brooding. He waited patiently for the other to enter his temporary room.
