A meeting at the park...


[Living only a block from the park, Lenneth arrives immediately, taking the initial wait to scout the premise and ensure there were no monsters before finding a suitable hillock of ruin and snow to sit on and wait]

[Enkidu moves through the snow easily. He'd gotten used to the strange white fluff and almost enjoyed it now. He smelles the air, catching a scent and following it.] Valkerie?

[She stands up] I am here, Enkidu. [And with that she descends back to level ground]

[He watches her move, tilting his head a bit.] You want speak with me? [He only hoped his brother hadn't done something...again.]

Yes... [She draws up to him, light glinting off her silver hair and blue armor] I have met your brother... but I will not speak unkindly of him.  You... you are not at all like him

I am glad of that. [He blinks at the last part though- he had never heard that comparison.] Not like Anu?

[She smiles] You are... very different from Gilgamesh.  I do not know who this Anu is you speak of.

Ah...forgive, Anu is word created to mean brother. [He smiles back brightly, teeth a little sharper then normal.]

Did you and Gilgamesh come to Discedo together?

No he...was here before. I arrive after. [He taps his chin in thought.] It has been uh...only a few....months?

I... do not know.  I have only been here a short time.

You are lucky. This place is not a good place...much bad has happen.

Yes, so I have seen... and what of you, Enikdu.  What do you do here?

Me? I...help Lady Rin and Lady Saber.
*pause*
And my brother. I keep him from being uh...wrong? [That doesn't feel like the right word.]

You keep his arrogance in check? *raises an eyebrow*

Arr...ogance? [Confused.]

... He thinks himself greater than he is.

Ah! A little like that yes. It is what brother does for a brother, yes?

[She can't help but smile]  Brothers quarrel... and help one another... and compete against one another.

Yes. That is what we do [He grins slightly] what always have done.

Hmmmm... [looks the warrior up and down, considering]

[Blinks and looks her up and down too.] ???

We speak much of your brother... but what of you, Enkiru?

Of me? Ah...there is little to say. [Blinks as he really doesn't talk about himsef much.]

You have no story of your own?  Does your life exist solely dependant upon your brother?

[Ah wait give him a chance to get through a few of those words.] I...yes. I would not live if not for my brother. I am made for him, his equal. If there was no Gilgamesh, there would be no Enkidu.

You are to tell me your only purpose in life is to compare to your brother?

Yes. [He doesn't sound unhappy about it either. he scratches his head a bit.] Maybe not say well. Ah...you know the language that sound [switches to Japanese.] Like this?

[Switching to Japanese] I am familiar with the tongue.

[He looks extremely relieved!]  Ah! Wonderful! I am much more familiar with this language!

[She nods] Are you trying to tell me that you exist only to help your brother?  That there is nothing more for you?

That is my purpose- I was made by the Gods to complete him. His purpose is to be my brother and mine is to be his. [He pauses a moment.] Before I lived i Uruk I was a man of the wid. A beast master alone in the forests.

And you have no goals or aspirations?

I suppose yes, to protect Uruk. It is my city now too, I would not want it to be destroyed. I am also enjoying learning all that man has made.

And?...

[He blinks a little- he's never thought about this. He never worked with a plan.] I am not sure, I have never thought about such things. I only lived day by day at the palace. *pause* What of you Lady Valkyrie?

I am what your kind calls a god. Your brother... he seems to know quite a lot about my king, the Lord Odin, as well as what I am, as a valkyrie.
You do not?

Yes, my mother and father were Gods of Sumer. I know well what they are. I do not know what a valkryie is however, or who Lord Odin maybe.

My purpose was given to me by our king, who is called Odin.  I hear the cries of the fallen, and I choose souls to train as mighty warriors in preperation for the war of the gods...

You are a warrior? There is nothing beyond your purpose?

My main purpose is the transmigration of souls... but I am often tasked with other jobs.
*pause*
I am a warrior... "valkyrie" roughly translates to "battle-maiden"...
*pause*
My duty to the Lord Odin gives little time for anything else.

Then that is similar to myself. My task is to keep Gilgamesh from himself. To keep him from unintentionally hurting Uruk and his people. I have little else to my time, besides what we do together.

And what of here, in Discedo?

Here...I, am not sure. [mostly it's keeping Gilgamesh from ticking too many people off.] The same, only now there is Lady Saber and Lady Rin to also help. Things are...too strange here.

[She nods] Yes...
*pause*
Gilgamesh mentioned a Goddes... Beldandy?

Yes! [Perks up a lot at that name!] She is a very kind person, though she seems to draw trouble to her very easily. She lives(ed?) with us and...well she is not quite as any Goddess I have ever known or heard of.

I would like to meet this goddess sometime...

You are welcome at our chambers at any time, if she is there then you may meet her. *smile*

Yes... perhaps... [She pauses]... I should be going.  However... I would like to meet you again some time, Enkidu... [There's a gleam in her blue eyes] I am curious... how skilled a warrior you are, and if you are anything like your brother.

[Surprised look before he grins. He knows a challange when it is given.] *nods* I will show as much as possible...wait...do you still have your chip in place?
[she nods] I have not yet found how... or found anyone who knows how to remove it.
*Pause* You would not live if I were without my chip... and I do not wish to send your soul to the next life so quickly. [The words are not harsh, or demeaning... she sounds like she is simply stating fact]

I have faced beast of the gods but...I do not think my Gods hold any power here. I have no fear.

I... should be going... I look forward to our next meeting, Enkidu.
