the aftermath [closed]

Who: Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, Ema Skye, Vera Misham, Kay Faraday, Pearl Fey
Where: Horton Apartment, 510-512
When: Friday, late afternoon to THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING nighttime
Rating: G for good times, good times.
Summary: Food, games, conversation and family bonding moments. After the shootout at Horton that claimed the lives of two lawyers, everyone just needs to huddle together and cheer up. Something like that.
the log: The kitchen smelled of cookies. Chocolate ones, topped with spiraling creamy icing, to be exact, and they were just coming out of the oven.

Kay smiled as she carefully took out the tray; there was something about that smile that seems a little...sad, and at the same time, accomplished. It was only in Discedo that the thief learned how to bake properly, after all. She left her handiwork to cool and began taking out several cups and saucers from the nearest cupboard. The cookies were done, but she still hadn't started on the tea - something else she could now prepare with little difficulty. Of course, every now and then she would end up steeping the tea for too long.

Wait; was there still enough tea for six people, though? She began looking through the drawers, and as she did so, the memories of recent events came back to her slowly, as if haunting her. The image of Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth lying dead on the carpet of the first floor was certainly one she would not forget for a long, long time. They were okay now, and Kay was done feeling sorry for herself and beating herself up for not being able to stop the turn of events, but...

She decided to focus on more important things. Like her tea, of course. And the gathering (she could call it a party or a celebration but it didn't seem right) that would take place in a bit, once everything was in place. Their little family (well, they WERE pretty much a family) was back together again, and Kay was determined to keep it that way.

But really, she still had to look for the tea.
