A bored detective was really a terrible thing to inflict on a town.

With no cases to solve and not even a riddle to occupy himself with, Conan had swiftly resorted to spying on the other residents of Dissimulo. It was good practice for his eavesdropping skills, if nothing else.

How was he supposed to know that he would be overhearing something like this?

Riffael had thought he was alone. He probably would have sensed the eyes on him had he not been so preoccupied with the Mooshroom creature he'd decided to use. He'd already used the Mushrooms for both some new drugs as well as food and it had proved to be a very useful creature, if not annoying.

Now, however, he needed it for a different reason. He needed to test his powers again, to feel the blood on his hands. He just needed to concentrate...
