Just a blind date

Who: Anyone who signed up here, but party crachers are welcome! (if you suddenly feel the urge to have a romantic dinner with someone, idefc!)
Where: Roof of Latimir
When: 14 Feb, 7.00 pm
Rating: G and up!
Summary: VALENTINE'S~
The Log:

((The message probably came around noon: hey! the blind dates will be tonight at seven. make sure you dress warm, it was pretty chilly last year. thanks for signing up! Now, for some of you might have come as a surprise: "I was signed up for what?" though others already know it was coming for them. Either way, you chose to see exactly what it was you were signed up for. Perhaps a secret lover wanted to meet up with you and were too shy to ask? Wherever you come from, the roof of Latimir is your destination.

The weather was only so-so. Winds blow over the cold roof, table cloths of low quality shutter at their touch. It seems Greece has a campfires set up in three place carefully protected by metal bases to prevent fire damage, and around each tables are set up. At the very center, Greece is sitting, and when he sees someone approach, smiles, bringing him or her to the designated spot. He'll bring the small dinner when your date has arrived! He returns to his spot, clearly attending a soup at the center of the event.

The table seems to be set with only a paper flower set in a small dish. Your number, in black, fading marker stands upright before you, and your partner's number sits across from you. Around you may be the other guests, whom you may approach and talk with if you see fit.

If you look at the other side of the card, you may find a few hints and tips to get conversation going. "Cats" "I can kick your ass" "Scones" "Flowers" and the like are scribbled onto every card.

It's a bit nerve wrecking to arrive before your date, but don't be too worried. Eventually, he or she will show up, and if you were lucky, your date and you won't already hate eachother. It's funny how things work.

The number matches are as follows:
(13 - 15) (4 - 11) (8 - 9) (7 - 14) (1 - 10) (6 - 16) (5 - 12) (2 - 3) (17 - 18)

Comment here with your number in the subject line. Make sure you look to see if your match hasn't commented already. When commenting TO your blind date at first, add your number too!!! If you want to mingle with other guests, that's TOOOOTALLY allowed! And finally, if you need to "godmod" Greece a little as far as food things go, that's fine!

And finally, if you need conversation prompts, forgot/lost your number, or have any other questions, my aim is Maypie Lord, or you can PM the account!))

thank you ^^

Well, YES! [Slightly spazzing]
eastmontecarlo: (Ooh?)

[ Well that's an enthusiastic response. ]

How lovely! [ What's wrong with your face... Ah, but don't stare, that's rude. ] What sorts were they, if I may ask?

[personal profile] bauhinia 2012-02-19 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. It depends on the lie— or the truth.
eyeforaneye: ({now I find myself in question})

[personal profile] eyeforaneye 2012-02-19 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Naturally. The truth is more important, some might say.

I think most people say that.

Naive is someone who doesn't know any better. Ignorant is someone who chooses not to know.

Does that make sense?
eyeforaneye: (Hn.)

[personal profile] eyeforaneye 2012-02-19 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Naive... Ignorant. Mm.

I understand those. [ Far better than he would care to admit in this lifetime, okay. ] You like naive people? [ They're easier to dupe, aren't they, Clive? Sasuke knows you have at least something of a sordid "history" now. ]
abstruse: anonanimal (10 ✒ But man is a giddy thing)

[personal profile] abstruse 2012-02-19 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
Everyone starts out naive. Consequently, every naive person has potential for brilliance.
eyeforaneye: ({now I find myself in question})

[personal profile] eyeforaneye 2012-02-19 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
Are you naive still? [ A fair question. Self-analysis is important. ]
eyeforaneye: ({I wanna run away})

[personal profile] eyeforaneye 2012-02-19 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Most people, if not all of them, depend upon lies, however.

The dogs where hounds and the spiders tranchulas. Donny, Maria, Ringo, Paul, John - [sigh. He was starting to miss them now with a groan] Don't know how those scientists [with a spit of hate] thought I, Mr. Crocker, had a parrot from back home... Not that I can complain. I like birds. [But still it's not like he ever had a pet parrot, right?]

I intend to see this through; I will not simply be a coward and flee.

[It's all about stubbogn pride, man.]

No.... Perhaps over-informed.
eastmontecarlo: (Review.)

[personal profile] eastmontecarlo 2012-02-20 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
[ What an interesting fellow... Is that a good or a bad thing? He's not entirely certain just yet. ]

Those are very inspired names. Ringo, Paul, and John? Could those be references to The Beatles?
eyeforaneye: ({the lessons that you taught me})

[personal profile] eyeforaneye 2012-02-20 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
... I understand. I am the same.

[personal profile] crackpotcrocker 2012-02-20 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, they are! I named all of my pets so far after rock n roll stars. You listened to The Beatles as well?
eastmontecarlo: (One please!)

[personal profile] eastmontecarlo 2012-02-20 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
But of course! I love music; I made no exception for the 1960s.
nameofexorcist: (Oh look)

[personal profile] nameofexorcist 2012-02-20 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
[His eyebrow furrows at that.] Even for a ridiculous event like this? It's only a waste of time.
abstruse: anonanimal (✍ Something isn't right)

[personal profile] abstruse 2012-02-20 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
...Somehow, I suspected that we were. I think that would be the case, as I'm sure you see now.

You saw something, no? ((finally we cut to the chase.))
eyeforaneye: ({I wanna run away})

[personal profile] eyeforaneye 2012-02-20 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Finally, there we go. ]

Something in your head? Yeah. [ And yet when he'd seen one of Hong Kong's memories, Hong Kong had seen one of his as well. So... ]

Did you?

Would you disagree?
bauhinia: (Default)

[personal profile] bauhinia 2012-02-20 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it depends on who you ask. But since you're asking me, no. I wouldn't disagree.

People need goals in order to survive. Or at least something to fix on. It isn't always honest.
bauhinia: (Default)

[personal profile] bauhinia 2012-02-20 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I hear you. Sometimes you have a good goal and there's no way to get there but lying, right?
