He wasn't sure how to explain his "big plans." After all, they were more along the lines of trying to adjust on his own front to being his own boss now. Marco does start rethinking the boring comment though. Maybe a little boring wouldn't be too bad. "I'm a pirate, I'm not sure I can stop myself from cheating." He blinked at his own words and instantly turned bright red. "I mean, except for cheating on Japan, that I won't do." Why did that even need saying?! No one brought it up but him! It wasn't like it was a suggestion. Marco's cheeks flamed more red as he quickly tried to go back to keep to deadpan and ignore the minor birdie panic settling over him. The reminder that Tatsumi was a predator and phoenixes were close to prey was suddenly something Marco was suddenly all too aware of, even as he refused to shy away from the touch. "F-fine," oh fuck, now his voice wasn't even steady. He had to stop doing that around the werepire, "You can cheat then."
Marco downed the rest of his blue moon to steady his own nerves. It was just Tatsumi, he could handle this. "Let's play a game. Ask a specific question and you get two truths and a lie. Determine which is fake and you get to keep asking." In a way, it was an answer on the grand scale as well. Marco was about two-thirds real, one part fake, but it was always a game. Or maybe the numbers were fake too, he really didn't know.
And Marco wasn't sure he could be sadistic enough to find out how truly masochistic Tatsumi was. Maybe if he ate more meat.
