[ This is an open log for those who wish to explore Lachesistein freely, and it can take place any time between July 16th and 26th. I know that. But really, houses aren't the place we should be looking, Sasuke. They're small, not large enough to house multiple bodies if our brothers really have been abducted. I say we go look in the school.

[ He crouches, unfolds the map he yanked from the train and hits it with the backs of his fingers. ] Then the mall, then maybe the warehouses over here. School's the closest. But they may want us to look there.

At least you found something of your friends. We haven't seen any indication of ours.

[She goes back to glancing through papers to see if she can spot anything he might have missed.]

This is probably a giant trap you know.

The creatures enter a quantum lock when you look at them. It's how their defenses evolved.

[She goes back to the graffiti and frowns. The more she sees, the more she prays she's wrong.]

I dealt with a ship full of them before coming here. I don't want to repeat the experience anytime soon.

Maybe there's a store map... [ Voila! He stares at the board, finger touching a box on the second floor. ]

Ah, here it is. We can make it there easy. Then you can rest and- [ He tilts his head, oblivious. ] You okay...?

Also: somewhere in the vast expanse of space, England has heard her comment about brains and responds back, "Well then America should be perfectly safe then."

But no one hears England. He goes ignored. Just as the universe intended his sad, lonely existence to be.

Those are just the zombies! Those guys are slow, and I mean, c'mon. Chainsaw hand. I can take on a horde of zombies no problem! And I've got quite a bit of vampire experience up my sleeve, as ya know, and ghosts? I'm practically over my phobia!

[ Not really, but at least now he doesn't run in the other direction while he's screaming. ]

The more attention they've got on me, the less they've got on the people they've got, and if they wanna come out and see me? All the better.

[ nope, he's got an iron grip on that sketchbook. this guy can lift a car no prob so you'd literally need a crowbar to get it away from him. ]

That sounds... really good, actually. [ now he's hungry for s'mores. BUT BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND. ]

Er, okay then. So if she'd touched this, that's what you'd taste, right? But what if someone else did? [ frowning ] Someone had to place these items around. Even if they fell outta the sky through some time vortex, there'd have to be some kind of signature taste on 'em.

[ Daaaaang. He gets the sketchbook, but now she's pocketing the colored pencils in an incredibly obvious manner. Fuck being subtle. ]

Exactly. Which is that's so weird. The most I can taste is this dreary place. So either they're aware of my smell-o-vision, or something stranger is occurring.

Okay so, I guess we're safe if it's...zombies or vampires [Ghosts she is not so sure about], but what if what's in the fog is something else?

[Interesting reaction to details about the creature that's likely trying to kill you, perhaps, but she can't help but be somewhat thrilled by the potential discovery of a species previously unknown to her.]

[Very interesting reaction indeed. River just smiles and continues to study the writing, even pulling out her scanner to look at a few other things.]

You'd think containing them would be easy. But, the thing is, they don't die and will take their time and wait for the containment to fail.

And they seem to have anticipated we'd stop here too if everyone has recently cleared out and this thing was lying in wait. We don't have the advantage here... not tactically. We never did. I accept that.

Now's not the time to worry about traps, not if we're already here. If the school is closest then that's where we'll head.

[Izaya's face looks almost maniacal with how much amusement he was getting out of this person's peculiar behavior.

Without even seeking permission he all but skips after Suigetsu into the warehouse.]

I reminded you of a dank and dark warehouse, Whitey-chan~?

[Come to think of it he still didn't know Suigetsu's name. Which meant he would be coming up with several nicknames before finding one he liked]

Well, if they have an ambush planned, let 'em come. I'm more than ready to get a little action. [ He pats the golden robot on the shoulder, smirking. It tries to swipe at him, but the sword arm twitches uselessly at its side. ]

You wanna leave your new pal here, Sasuke? I thought you figured he was useful for something? I mean we could always come back to retrieve him, but he looks pretty heavy. [ He starts for the door, feeling the weight of the sword against his thigh. ]

At least he won't be running anywhere with that fire poker in his gut.

Hahaha, pretty much. From the outside it looks like a normal old building, y'know, but on the inside...

It's pretty cold and barren, don't you think? [ He walks further in, surveying the large conveyors. It looks like an abandoned factory. From the looks of things, a bottling plant. His eyes scan the area before drifting back to Izaya who has, temporary, been deemed a non-issue

But he's always on guard, no matter how amused he looks. ] It's Houzuki Suigetsu.

I assume, then, that destroying them won't be an option.

I wish. It took a crack in the very fabric of the universe to destroy them last time.

... [ Squuuuint. Are you lying to him... ] Well, if you're sure...

It wouldn't be good to have a fever here of all places with me of all people. I don't know a thing about doctoring someone, especially in a weird place without, you know, medicine or whatever. I don't want you to faint or nothing.

[ He begins to ascend the escalator, long legs carrying him quickly. ] Tell me if you need help or something.

I'm sure, I'm sure! [Have a smile - it's a real one, through the blush, anyway.

She's going to push herself - she's not out of shape, just a little nervous - to keep up with him]

I'll be okay, you really don't have to worry...

[ Though he'd come here with Suigetsu he's currently alone, not especially fond of that fact but they'd decided that splitting up might be beneficial for a little while. ]

... If it is not for too long. [ He steps closer, choosing not to sit just yet. ] So you're fine?
