[ This is an open log for those who wish to explore Lachesistein freely, and it can take place any time between July 16th and 26th. Wouldn't count out the awareness. The people in charge of Discedo know all sorts of intimate shit. But these are different people, so if there it's about awareness we need to figure out if this is a collaboration between our scientists and theirs, or if there's been a leak.

I've never encountered anything quite like this. Creatures with similar abilities, perhaps, but nothing I can think of that would create so much terror.

Well you're pretty immortal. [ He sits heavily on the couch he thinks is in the safest spot, surrounded by three others in a kind of square setting. He sets his bag down in the middle. ]

So you don't gotta worry about anything like that. I guess it'd get boring, but I don't wanna die anytime soon. I don't mind it, 'cause everyone dies, but it just sounds even more boring.

I-i guess boring is one word for it...

[ for a moment she glances over at him, sizing him up, but obviously Dave's just a kid, so.. ]

Do you think you could fight if anything popped up here?

[ Suigetsu follows Sasuke downstairs, but splits off at the front hallway to check the small basement below. There are only boxes and dust, nothing disturbed, nothing out of the ordinary. He sniffs, shaking his head, then ascends to meet Sasuke at the door. He's grabbing that lighter first, though. ]

I don't need anything from this place. The school and the shopping district will probably gimme more options. I got this sword anyway. [ He pushes open the front door and assesses the fog, almost welcoming it. He'd much rather a wide open space to fight in regardless. ]

Sorry, it's not a nice topic when we're in this place. [ He rubs the back of his neck. ]

It's not gonna happen for a while, so we shouldn't worry about it.

[ Yet. Though really when Marceline makes a "threat" it's often just her creepy way of being helpful. There's a flicker of surprise on her face when she sees the gun (such things are practically relics where and when she's from) but there's no alarm or worry. Just curiosity. ]

No offense, but you don't look like the type to spend your time meandering around museums for kicks. Unless you take things from them. [ Her grin widens. ]

Nice name. I'm Marceline. As for these guys [ she glances over into the fog ] I have a feeling they're only the beginning of whatever's here. Ghosts, apparitions, whatever don't usually pop up for no reason. And I'm guessing they weren't invited here to party.

No we wouldn't. We would be awful and our brood wigglerbabbies would die like a contestant in the Game of Hungers. Consecutively. [ truth. ]

[ He looks a little dubious as this, but he is pretty thirsty. And protection is important. ]

Fine. [ He takes a sip. Unfortunately he's so sick that his gag reflex kicks in; he starts coughing and heaving like his body is trying to reject the water. After a minute of this, eyes water and face set in grim determination, Karkat tries again and starts gulping down the water despite his body's protests. ]

Y-yeah! Better not to think about it. [She seems a little hesitant about joining him on the couch, but at least there's a bag in the middle, so she takes the other seat.]

[shortestfuse]

[ There's a long silence before he opens his mouth again. ] Uh. Taiwan...

[ Then another pause. He looks up and stuffs his hands into his pockets. ]

Ah, nevermind... I can keep watch if you wanna sleep or whatever.

Ah...? What? What were you going to say? [Wait, that seemed like a really rude thing to do-] I can't just make you stay up and [watch me sleep-!] and...you need your sleep too, right...?

[He still has plenty of time on the meteor to enjoy Karkat's presence. Oh joy.]

Oh, I'm cherishing them. Totally cherishing them. So, should I tell you about all this crap you said to me when you're not completely fucked up or keep it to myself?

I'm making this short and sweet. We're friends. If you want Terezi, than go get her, but all we do is mess around to pass time. [Stop projecting your feelings onto him!]

Good to know. I'm not sure if I could cover for the both of us, after all, and with how many monsters there were back in Discedo I doubt we'll get lucky here.

I understand. The Bitching Quota is a tough one to fill. I usually reach mine by talking to Karkat for about five minutes-- gives me everything I could ever possibly bitch about in one convenient package.

Speaking of which, I'm actually. Uh. Pretty worried about Karkat. He's a bit fucking insane right now, and I think it's because he's sick? What am I supposed to do with a sick troll? I tried making him drink water and nap, but every time I leave him to investigate this place, he wanders off like he's attracted to some sort of idiot magnet.

[ Guess who is completely underestimating the extent of Karkat's illness. Hint: it's this girl, right here. ]
