[ This is an open log for those who wish to explore Lachesistein freely, and it can take place any time between July 16th and 26th. Okay well. If you want to watch first... [ He gets up and goes to the couch right across from her. ]

Just hit me or something to wake me up. Unless you wanna sleep. I don't mind, Taiwan.

[A teensy bit of stubbornness] I can do it!

... [ Stare. ] Well okay then. [ He slips low on the couch, resting his head on his arm. He's more tired than he thought - his eyelids get heavy. ]

I meant to ask you. The wedding... you're goin', right? [ He looks anywhere but her. ] Need ah... someone to walk you there or somethin'? 'Cause I'm goin' too, so...

[She startles, glancing over at him, grateful that he's looking tired, his eyes starting to close. Because otherwise he would definitely see the blush currently dusting her cheeks]

A-ah! Um... T-that would be really nice...

[B-but] T-technically I'm [in charge of] part of the wedding party, so I don't think I can but...

C-can I look for you during? Once everything is in place?

I've never spoken with the scientists in Discedo. Are they favorable to us, or what? Would they be willing to fuck us over in cooperation with other scientists?

[A grunt.] Agreed, but the question is why they haven't even shown themselves.

Nah man, hear me out! Even if death was a permanent thing around these parts, I'm an anomaly. I ain't exactly immortal but I don't stay dead, ya dig? And it's really hard to off me in the first place. Bullet to the brain? Pffff, inconvenient at best. So my personal safety ain't an issue.

Oh. [ He wants to roll over and die right now. ] Yes. I mean, yeah. Okay.

I still... gotta try out your food and stuff, so... [ He smiles sleepily and closes his eyes. ] Never been to a wedding.

[Sitting up straighter, determined not to fall asleep. He was counting on her!]

[ Yes, he definitely passed out before her goodnight. How embarrassing. Having no shame should be harmful to some people. ]

[She sits as attentive and quiet as she can, but even her eyelids start to droop after a couple hours. A loud noise snaps her awake in a panic right when she'd finally nodded off]

[Izaya remains in the doorway to the old building, eyes mischievous again, as though he expected something to happen soon within the building.]

[ True to his word, he sleeps through her exclamation like a dead person. Might wanna jostle him or yell in his ear.

That's 'cause I've met a million and one guys like you. And. [ He smiles mildly, doing a little turn in the middle of the building. ]

It's no secret. [ He stalks up to Izaya easily, no air of hostility, stopping inches away. ] That guys like us understand one another. Right, Izaya?

[ Clasping his hands together, he spreads his arms eccentrically, a broader grin on his face. ]

Because I'm the same! I can see it in your eyes, man. We're actually more commonplace than you think~

[She subsides a little when she looks around and sees nothing, drawing her knees up to her chest and glancing around the room nervously. Definitely not going to fall asleep again after that...

Especially not when there's another loud bang, sounding closer this time.]

[ This seems to be enough to rouse him, instincts telling him to get up and stop being a lazy shit, the bang making him roll onto his back and grumble, eyes cracking open. ]

Wuzzat... y'okay?

[Feeling awkward about it now] I-i heard something really loud... did it wake you up?

[shortestfuse]

Nnn, no. [ Rubbing his eyes, he sits up rather quick and shakes his head. ] I was up, I'm awake.

[ What a blatant lie. Oh well, he doesn't want to make her feel bad. ] Somethin' loud?

Oh it probably won't. There are at least two people here that might be able to handle what we're dealing with and you're already talking to one.

Either they fear whatever did this more than we know, or it got them. At least, those are my two current theories.

B-but I haven't seen anything so...maybe I was just imagining it?
