If it wasn't bad enough that he woke up sans blankets, which actually wasn't that bad in the summer months but he'd still complain, he had woken up and groped around for his glasses only to find them missing. His sight was shit without them, and no matter how much he blinked and squinted around the room, it didn't help to make anything less blob-like.
"Dave! Have you seen my glasses?"
Cautiously he slid out of bed, moving on instinct toward the door. Apparently his instincts weren't all that great, because he missed by a few inches and smacked straight into the door frame.
