When: After this comment thread.
Rating: G! G for CUTENESS OVERLOAD! ♥
Summary: After arriving to Discedo, Nill accidentally broke the laces holding her only pair of shoes together and ended up losing them while being chased by some Sniffer Dogs. Searching for some help to find a new pair of a shoes over the communications line, she received it in the form of Pit. And when an angel tries to lend you a pair of shoes, how can you possible say no?
the log:

Pit rapped gently on the door labeled 502. He had taken a good observation of the apartments and was impressed with the roominess of the structure. This was sure to be the right room, and he rocked back and forth gently on his feet as he waited with his arms pulled behind his back.

After a few minutes, Nill pulled open the door of the apartment with a slight creek. Peeking her head out from around the other side, she smiled brightly as she saw Pit standing there waiting for her. Wow, that didn't take very long at all!

"Ohhhh~!" Pit's face brightened with an intense glow as his eyes met up with Nill's face appearing from behind the door. His wings fluttered breezily out of exhilaration. "B-Baby Angel!" His arms snapped open as he lifted them slightly, carried by his own thrill. "It's you!"

Nill couldn't help but muffle a giggle beneath her two hands at seeing how excited he was to see her there. It was enough to bring a smile to her face and a soft blush to her two cheeks as she slowly brought her hands back down to her sides. She coyly played with her feet before taking a small step aside, seeing if he wished to enter the apartment for a bit.

Pit took the invitation humbly and flashed a closed smile with his eyes shining with a particular brightness as he took steadied steps towards the open apartment. He entered and allowed his eyes to wander. "So this is where you live, huh?" His head bobbed around while looking at stuff, also wondering if Soren the Sour was lurking about like a disgruntled cat.

Nill watched the angel with some awe while he took his time looking around the apartment, since this was the first time that she ever saw him in person. It was enough to take her breath away a little; those large wings and that cheerful disposition of his. But she quickly chased the mood away with a small shake of her head, and a good thing too, because Pit just asked her a question! The girl nervously bobbed her head in a nod, before shutting the door closed behind them both. If Soren is around, then he's probably hiding away with his head in one of his books.

Pit tilted his head and closed his eyes, facing Nill. "You're kind of shy, aren't you?" he questioned in a hushed tone, continuing his gentle smile.

Nill made a face at him. Well... that was a little true, but... The girl thought for a moment, and then she got an idea. At first she thought a gesture to her throat might do the trick, but Nill knew an easier way to try to get the angel to understand her a little better. She took her right hand out, drawing it out with the palm open. The other hand was being used to point at it, trying to instruct him to do the same. She wants to show him something.

At first, Pit merely stared at it open-eyed, blinking a couple of times as he leaned over. "Huh?"

Nill held in a laugh as Pit gave her hand a stare, and decided to take the initiative with a blush. She reached out with her two hands and took one of Pit's. Hope he's not too shy around girls! Then using the index finger of her right hand, she began to trace letters on his open palm one at a time. It might take a bit of patience for the angel to understand what she's spelling, but all in all it says 'I cannot speak'. Once done, she slowly pulls her hands away from his and tucks them behind her back, looking a bit unsure of herself since she doesn't know how he'll react to that.

Pit had kept himself from struggling as she proceeded to touch his arm and hand, barely whispering gusts of laughter. "It tickled. But what does that mean? You haven't been talking..." Then, it hit him, without understanding the message scribbled onto his skin. "Oh! You... you don't know how to talk, do you?" The shock permeated onto his expression, and he brought a hand up to shield his gasp.

Nill shook her head slowly, offering him a bittersweet smile in return. It's not like she wasn't used to this kind of reaction already, but she still didn't want to worry him. She rocked a little on her heels, giving him time to process all of this.

"That's... that's so sad... you don't have a voice, and your wings are so small to top it all off..." His head sunk and his own wings sagged a little. "You really need my shoes, then. Wow... I never imagined you couldn't talk!"

The girl frowned at how sad Pit looked, and she reached out with both of her hands to gently sandwich one his own in between them. Nill tilted her head up to look him in the eyes with a smile on her face. 'I'm okay.' the gesture seemed to say, or at least she hoped it would. She didn't want the fact that she couldn't talk to get the angel down, especially seeing how nice he has been to her lately.

Pit smiled nonetheless. "But it's okay. I'll still be your friend. There are many ways we can communicate." His other hand came over the one that clasped his own tenderly. All of their hands were holding each other. "I can be loud sometimes, though. So watch out!"

Nill was now positively beaming. She was so happy that she was able to make such a great friend like Pit. She gave the angel a happy nod, following not long after by a quiet giggle at his last remark. Yeah, they were gonna be just fine. - Shoes or no shoes!

The angel released her hands and bent down a little to start untying his complicated sandals. "The... these might be a little funny... so I advise you watch." there was a lot of unbuckling and slipping involved. "Sorry about my dumb shoes..."

Nill tilted her head a little as she watched Pit work away at untying his sandals, stooping down to get a better look of her own. They really weren't like any shoes that she'd ever seen before, that's for sure... She shook her head at the comment, just happy enough that he offered them as all as she rocked back and forth happily on her two bare feet.

"There!" His leg slipped out naked, curling his toes in freedom. He set it on the ground and went to work on the other one, burbling a soft noise in his efforts.

Nill made a small noise of awe at the now empty sandal that sat on the ground. Her eyes blinked curiously, wondering how they would fit her, before she ended up looking back at Pit as he started to untie the other one.

He managed to get them off. "Uh-huh... here, I'll help." He reached over to slip one sandalboot closer, silently commanding her to try and get her first foot in.

The girl took one small step forward, and then carefully lifted her foot up so that she could slip it down into the sandalboot. Slowly, she managed it, but not without a little wobbling. Trying to stand on one foot will do that to you, after all. Once she slipped it in the whole way through, she turned it slightly while looking down. If anyone thought they looked big on Pit, then they looked really tall over Nill's little legs. But still, it was a nice and surprising fit.

"We're both small, see! So they fit pretty well." He wasn't sure if she liked them, but they would certainly do for footwear. He was just glad she was an appropriate size and not some ogre or tall figure. "Try the other one."

"...?" Nill couldn't say that the angel looked all that small to her, but hey... if the shoe fits! At his cue, she slipped the other foot into the remaining sandalboot. This time she wasn't as wobbly, and a bit quicker with it. With both of them on her feet, she flexed her toes and picked one of her feet up. Then with a happy smile, she gave a small turn that made her long hair and dress swish a little. The shoes that she was wearing now were really comfy, and it was much better than being barefoot. Once she was back to facing Pit, she gave a polite bow in thanks that made her small wings flutter before rising up and looking very pleased.

Pit gushed with happiness. "Awwww! You look adorable in them!" He was amused by the abrupt wing flutter, too. His giggles lifted into the air like giddy musical notes. "Now we don't have to worry about your feet getting hurt."

Nill's face blushed at the compliment and she nodded, but then she looked down at his own feet and pouted her lips. She looked up at him with those big blue eyes of hers, as if to say 'Are you sure you'll be okay?'

"I'll be fine." He gave her an earnest smile and hugged her gently. "I think I'll be going now. You stay safe, okay? No more bare feet for you!"

Nill perked up with Pit's reassurance and returned the hug with sincere thanks. With her hands clasped in front of her, she nodded as she rocked on her two new sandalboots. Before he went out that door, she made sure to give him a happy wave of goodbye with her right hand. She hoped that he would drop by and see her again someday.

"Bye!" He waved back, looking behind him as he leaved. "Take care, and have fun!"
