the log:
His first Father's Day as a father...
He hadn't honestly thought much about it til now. He'd held Hope in his arms, looked at her beautiful little face...and knew he couldn't be a father to her. She would be better off with Sara - never knowing what a bastard her father was. Given her...circumstances, she would have enough problems without him throwing himself in there too.
But...he kept thinking about calling, or writing or something. Just to say hi, how are you, things like that. She wouldn't know, right? Babies don't remember things. No harm done.
He was awfully busy, though - preparing to run a country'll do that to a guy. And then...he'd found himself here.
He was starting to regret not sending an email.
Well, nothing to do now but mope and see if he could help another little girl. He'd never pictured himself as a particularly nurturing person, but he did sort of like kids. Maybe because he'd never really grown up himself (or so everyone said). Maybe because they had that innocence about him that he'd never really had....
He stuffed his hands in his pockets and waited for Kiki to come down.
