Who: Shinjiro
prodigal_axe, and Kadaj
adventlead.
Where: Ingles Trail, inside one of the clothing stores.
When: Evening, today.
Rating: R for language in the future.
Summary: Shinji needs someone to take care of someone else, and Kadaj oh-so-conveniently does just that.
the log:
The remnant stood on Ingles Trail, in front of some store that in the past had been made for attire. He didn't really care, about the location or the corpses laying at his feet. It was hidden enough, it wasn't obvious. He had made sure to get there as swiftly as he could. He didn't want attention drawn to himself, or any unapproving glances aimed at who he would be meeting with.
Kadaj had left a message for Shinjiro, describing his whereabouts of the meeting place in private before he actually stepped in. He remained near the entrance. The interior was boring and rotten, just like everything else in this place. Regardless of the fear he had instilled in some, the remnant was eager for this. It was a chance to be like a hero, be violent, but more importantly ensure their safety. His friends...
There was still a little guilt there, about how he had treated them, in particular Prydain and Umi, as those were the two who had dealt with the brunt of his behavior. Somehow, Kadaj had held onto enough self-control to not lash out at Rinoa in any form. It wasn't what he had done that disturbed him, but what he could have done to her. Unsettling as it was, he could make it up to her this way. He had to make it up to all of them. What he was doing was good, he told himself, over and over.
But Kadaj wouldn't pick at random. He would be careful. He would listen, consider. Perhaps meeting any clients in the future would be a good idea; it was easier to read them that way. One target though, he would make sure would be dealt with no matter what.
James.
He would stop at nothing to see that he was restrained, and not just stopping there. He'd make him wish he was killed. If he was really staying at the clinic--the fucking coward--Kadaj doubted anyone would just allow him to waltz in and take him to who knows where, even if they were aware of the truth. He had to play it carefully. Why and how anyone could do what he had...
Anyway, he figured his methods of choosing were flawless, or they would be once he started arranging meetings like this one. Now to just wait for the client. They would meet, Kadaj would judge, making sure this was worth his time. And it would end however it ended, violent or otherwise.
It was a good thing Souba was with him, as always.
Slowly, light faded in place of darkness, dipping his hair in blue. Aqua eyes took on a faint glow, looking around, surveying for any life, malicious or not. With a sigh, Kadaj slouched against a wall. Time to wait. Hopefully his client hadn't been taken down by the monsters already.
Good. He was doing this for good.
