Who: Hawkeye [livejournal.com profile] yankeedoodledr and Ness [livejournal.com profile] mrbaseballfan
Where: The clinic.
When: 17th of December.
Rating: PG.
Summary: Spreading a little holiday cheer through craptastic paper decorations and plenty of talk about the wimmins.
The log:

Say what you will, but the days leading up to Christmas were a lot more peaceful in Discedo than they had been back in Korea. There it had been a tradition for both sides to get as much death and destruction done before the Holiday truce, leaving the surgeons and nurses at the 4077 with more work than they ever wanted.

Stray hat-related spells were preferable, hands down.

Hawkeye had found himself lingering in the clinic lately, in part out of habit and in part due to the company. The high school was a bit of a meeting spot after all, whether it was injured coming in to be treated, newcomers directed there before they settled in or the long-term residents stopping by the soup kitchen for a hot meal. He enjoyed the hustle and bustle of people coming and going - after spending so much time living in a crowded camp Hawkeye didn't take well to solitude.

When you were alone, you started to think. Your mind wandered and despite the intensive sessions with Sidney there was still a few things he'd rather not revisit any time soon. Not yet. Not here.

Still, as welcome as meaningless conversations with perfect strangers were he missed talking to someone he actually knew. BJ wasn't here, or Trapper or anyone else from the 4077 that he used to spout nonsense with. Frank was... well, if he wasn't such an insufferable twat Hawk might feel a bit more inclined to talk to the man. So when Ness had come to him asking for advice - about girls, of all the things - he had jumped on the opportunity.

And hey, the clinic could still use a couple of badly constructed decorations.
