[in progress]
Who: Hideo and Yurio
Where: Latimir Apartments
When: Today, May 9, late afternoon
Rating: PG just because they're both creepy jerks?
Summary: Not exactly a heartfelt reunion.
the log:
It hadn't taken long to collect his belongings -- where Yurio once would have accumulated numerous new pieces and accessories over a period of four months, here he had little more than the basics (his gaming device always counted among these) and a jar of origami stars whose purpose he still didn't understand. He'd tied them all up in a sheet as a makeshift bag, much more concerned with the idea of being seen carrying such uncool luggage (and he had immediately pawned it off onto Hideo to carry up the stairs to avoid this) than with the fact that he was stealing his former roommate's bedding, but Yurio had always seen it as his room and everything it held his to do with as he pleased in the first place.
Finally now they were up the stairs at the door of their new apartment, he and Hideo, like it was supposed to be, like he'd been waiting for ever since he'd arrived, because for all his egocentrism, he was nothing more than a half on his own. Hideo hadn't yet asked where Yurio had spent the past four months, why he didn't already have an apartment ready. Yurio figured that was just because Hideo didn't really care, and that was all well and good, really, because maybe explaining that he'd been living with their former hostage and one of their enemies "so that he could keep an eye on them" didn't really sound like the best reason after all.
"They're all pretty much like this," he said with resigned disapproval when he'd opened the door to reveal a simple two-room apartment, sparse and in mild disrepair, somehow even more empty than he'd expected without that stupid mural Kio had painted on the wall in his former room.
"Come on," he commanded, walking inside ahead of his partner without bothering to hold the door open behind him. "Let's put Yuri-sama's things in the bedroom."
