With one hand, Jade easily opened the doors to the gymnasium, walking inside briskly as the cold draft started to enter. As his boots made sharp clicks on the wooden floors while glancing around the empty room, he found a seat near the bleachers and placed his spear beside him, waiting for Tear to arrive. Back at Auldrant, he would only watch from a distance when his two other male companions decided to practice their skills (perhaps due to both laziness and arrogance that it wasn't necessary for him). Here, however, he didn't have that luxury since they were in a much more dangerous setting. Though Jade was confident he could survive without using his artes, it still said differently in Discedo, where the wrong chances could end up doing more than kill you.
Opting to be alert more than ever, Jade decided that the wisest and coincidentally, most time-consuming task at the moment, was to train and catch up on his exercise regime with Tear. Patiently, he closed his eyes and looked out for any signs of her arrival.
