Summary: Teej wakes up on the street. She is confused and irritated and a little (a lot) scared.
the log:

T.J was used to being in different worlds. Hell, it had practically been her career at point point in her life. But that was a long time ago, she hadn't seen any of the usual suspects in forever, and this wasn't supposed to happen anymore. Not to mention that it had never happened without her realizing it. She had never woken up in another world. She'd always been aware of her surroundings, and when they shifted from one reality to the other.

This probably explained why she was so alarmed when she woke up, cold and feeling as if she'd been poked about, in the middle of a very unfamiliar street, in a very unfamiliar city, with nothing but a strange device, laying casually on her chest, with a note saying 'use this' attached to the front.

'Use this? Use this for what?'

Getting to her feet slowly, strange device in hand, T.J looked around. It was harder than it should have been. It was too dark. After blinking a few times, realization hit her; she couldn't see in the dark anymore. Not as well as she should be able to. Feeling a cold stone of dread in her stomach, she slowly stretched one arm out, fingers of her hand fanned wide, and fired a hex bolt at a nearby bit of broken concrete. At least, she tried. Nothing. No powers.

Shaking, a wide array of emotions swirling around inside her like so many crystal fragments in a kaleidoscope, T.J tightened her fist around the small thing that sounded as if it belonged in some sci-fi version of Alice in Wonderland with it's vague 'use me' label. After a moment, she spoke out loud, her voice sounding hollow and small in the night.

"What is going on here?!"
