Summary: Chopper returns from the Grand Line and gives Sanji an update on how things are back home. The problem: Things are not good. They're not good at all.

Even though he'd been preparing for it, the actual trip from the forest where Luffy had picked him up all the way to the bar was still kind of a shock to Chopper. There was snow and cold (which he actually had to admit, he could somewhat feel for once) and his captain's cheerful voice, which quickly changed to indoors and warmth and nakama, and it was the safest he'd felt in months. The small talk with Luffy and Zoro right after he'd arrived had calmed him down, to the point where he actually managed to not look over his shoulder or perk up his ears at the slightest noise every few minutes or so.

Then Sanji had arrived, looking familiar yet different all at the same time and once again Chopper had just stared at him in awed confusion. This time he resisted poking at the cook's leg or circling around him to see if he'd disappear like he usually did. Like they all had so many many times.

It had taken some effort, but they'd managed to shoo Luffy away for a while. The tiny doctor had almost wanted to protest before he remembered what it was that he was going to talk about, and if it was going to be hard to tell the cook about it, then telling their captain of all people...

Oh, wait a minute. Talking. Right. He was supposed to do that wasn't he? Hopefully he hadn't gone silent for long, all while he'd stared at that spot on the wall close to where Luffy had passed by before he left. Before he left and would definitely come back this time.
