When revenge and justice are one in the same

Rating: PG13, maybe R
Summary: Lithuania has broken free, and it's going to take a lot of convincing to stop him from going to kill Russia. It's up to the people who care about him to do that convincing.
The log:

In a mostly empty part of town, a large door came off its hinges and hit the ground with a deafening crash. The metal was bent and twisted, the result of well over an hour of constant work. The building's now former captive emerged into the light, blinking up at a sun which he had not seen in far too long. He's pale and gaunt from a long captivity spent mostly in isolation and more than a little bloody from repeated attacks on the building. He dashed back into the ruined building, digging through the rubble, and emerged again with two things; his communicator and a large piece of broken wood. The first was so that he could again be in contact with those important to him. The second was for if he found what he was looking for.

Lithuania wanted to find Russia. That monster of a nation would pay for what he had done. Their bargain had been simple; in exchange for Lithuania's more or less peaceful compliance Latvia would remain unharmed. No one was to interfere, and they hadn't. He'd kept his end of the bargain despite the cost to his pride and well being, even when poisoned and locked away. But in the end, his beloved brother had still suffered. Had still died. No matter the sympathy he had for the friendly person Russia used to be, the man had to pay for his actions. Justice had to be served. Russia had to die.

He didn't know where the other nation was. He didn't even know where he was going. He'd been kept on such a short leash since arriving in this strange place that he hadn't been able to get a feel for the landmarks yet. But there was only one way he was going to find Russia and that was to keep moving. The communicator was little more than a heavy weight in his pocket at this point. When he accomplished his goal and the grizzly task was done, then he would put that device to good use. He would use it to find Poland, his partner and husband whom he still longed to see. But not yet. No, this task was his alone. He'd done his best to keep people out of this situation for fear of them getting hurt. Because if they did, he would be the one to blame for it. And he was trained as a knight, a protector of the innocent, he would never forgive himself for that. And besides, if anyone should have the honor of killing that monster it should be him. And he would, because despite the difference in their sizes and strengths he was certain that he could win. Strength wasn't everything in a battle, and it was a battle he sought. Not a murder, for there would be no honor in that. And while Russia might have abandoned his honor, Lithuania had to intentions of doing the same. He would make speed and cunning his allies and face this man in a true duel. And if Russia refused ... he would ensure that there was no alternative.

There was no time to pause, not even to reclaim his sword from where Russia had hidden it. The piece of wood he'd brought with him was a good enough replacement for now, and the way he held it made that perfectly clear. He ran through unfamiliar streets and past crumbling buildings, searching only for a familiar figure in a long scarf.
