Private Chinese New Year
Who: China and Stocking
Where: China's Apartment
When: January 22, 2012
Rating: PG-13 for language (If rating changes, I'll change it.)
Summary: China remembers the promise he made with Stocking before he left and came back from 2012.
The Log:
During the night before, China had a dream, but not just any dream, it was a recollection. A memory of the Christmas he and Stocking had spent together. Now it made much more sense to him as to why the black necklace Stocking wore around her neck made him feel some kind of familiar sensation. Just as she said, he was the one who made it for her. He also remembered how she suggested they spend New Years together, but only the two of them, alone. The Western New Years may have already passed, but there was still Chinese New Year, and this year was the Year of the Dragon. He had left her a voicemail early in the morning, inviting her over to his apartment.
Of course China was hoping to be able to spend it with his family too, but he didn't see any real harm that could come from celebrating it with Stocking alone a day early. Besides, he would be leaving with the others to retrieve those animals any day now. Though he wasn't able to get as many ingredients as he could back home, it was a decent display of food. Remembering Stocking's love for sweets, he made mostly desserts, which included the longevity buns he always told her about and a small Chinese candy box. He had managed to find the green house in Discedo while exploring for ingredients and grabbed a few seeds, fruits, and vegetables that were available at the time. He had made two candy boxes. One for Stocking, and the other for his family, though neither of them were as elaborate as he would have hoped.
He made sure to clean the place up and dress in his red outfit. There was already some tea at the table and the paper artwork Hong Kong had anonymously put up on the windows was still there. Also, he had hung up the paper cranes Stocking had given to him on Christmas from the ceiling and the charm Taiwan had given him before his flight was hanging near his futon.
"Everything looks ready." he observed his work.

Well you'll figure it out sooner or later. Now let's eat!

[He had made a small Buddha's delight salad for himself, along with a dish of leek mixed with cougar meat.]

[ Screw that food, she'll just stuff herself with the candy. ]

I found some liquor in the store here, but it's barely decent. [If only the rice baijiu he bought back home had been transported with him when the scientists brought him to this place.]
If you'd like, we could have it later this evening. [Since it was better than no alcohol at all.]

[ She'll just chug it with the candy to make it taste good. ]
We'll need some fireworks or something, or I could use my stockings..
no subject
Aiyaa! That's the one thing I forgot, aru!
...I didn't see any in the stores when I looked earlier. I could make some, but I don't have the proper materials.
[Then a thought comes up his mind.]
I could use my guns, but that sort of stunt is now illegal back home since the bullet could potentially hit someone when it comes down.

[ And she runs outside and transforms. ]

Are you sure you want to do this?
[He looks inside the handgun. Fully-loaded.]

[ She transformed both her stockings just for this. Stocking walks twenty feet away from him and sets apart her legs. ]

You've definitely seen many battles, aru.

[He leads the way back into the apartment, closing the door once she's inside. Once he's seated again, he smiles at her.]
I'm glad that you like the candy.

[About ten minutes into the meal, China puts his chopsticks down and folds his hands in his lap.]
May I ask you something, Stocking? It's about when I was here last time.
no subject
Sure.
