Summary: Eric discovers Sai's injuries
The Log:
Since his post about wanting to learn about bringing people here, he left his Heather in the care of his roommates, and made his way to find where the scientists do their work from.

He finds nothing, and returns about a week later, entering the apartment.

.... I wonder what I really am if not human.

I'm not. And, believe me, precious, there's nothing special about being human.

[She goes to stick her tongue out playfully.]

It will still be nice to being able to know just what I am exactly.

Sai, the things I saw were... disturbing. Maybe you're better off...

.... You saw something to do with me?

[He nods]

Pictures... in my mind...

What? What did you see?

[A part of her is watching him closely but more importantly to her is.... Is that he finds out what she is.]

[He sighs, remembering the tubes, the water... the disturbing images. He shivers.]

Heather, please. You don't want to know.

[She blinks at his reaction and goes to let out a sigh.]

You won't tell me even if I ask you even more.

[She reaches over to try and hold his hand.]

.... Don't worry..... I won't ask anymore.

Because it's what's best for you. I promise. [HE knows she's not, but she's still a little girl in his eyes.]

If you say so... [And she will stay a little girl as long as he likes for her to. Okay reaching over now to start scratching at the nub. It ITCHES!]

[He looks at the nub, touching her shoulder gently.]

Are you... all right?

[She blinks and stops her scratching at the touch and nods her head.]

It still hurts but mainly itches... A lot.

Is there something that would make it better? Or... uh.... heal? (is that the right word?) faster?

[She goes back to scratching the nub again before going to think...]

Meat might help.... Fresher the better...

Meat?

[She goes to nod her head looking away.]

B-B-But I can wait for to it to heal normally!

[DON'T GIVE HER THAT FACE!]

But it's not healing, it's growing back.

I can get you meat it's not a problem.

No it's not. A human may heal from such a wound, but not grow a new arm.

....... [She goes to look towards it, staring.] Is that so?....

Yes... it's true. The would would heal, but there wouldn't be re-growth. I'm afraid you're still something of a mystery.

[She goes to remove the bandages from her nub and just touches the injury.]

At least you know more about me then me.

I... don't even know WHAT I know... or understand it.

[He kisses the top of her head.]

So don't worry about it.

[She closes her eye at the kiss and slowly.]

Alright, I will do my best not to worry about it.

[She closes her eyes then and goes to lean fully against him.]

We'll go to the street, find which way the water is running, and go the other way. That's a start...

[He rubs her back.]
