Hong Kong acknowledges China with a bow as well, a bit more formal in response to how China greets him. "You don't have to thank me." He's not being snide, just sticking to formality. When Stocking asks him if he wants food or something to drink, he continues to stick to what's considered mannerly: refuse at least once.

"I don't wanna inconvenience you. But thank you."
