The Log:

[ This is an open log for those who wish to explore Lachesistein freely, and it can take place any time between July 16th and 26th. For more information on Lachesistein, please refer to the Exploration plotting post. If something comes up at all, make sure to contact a mod with your questions or concerns.

[Marisa sighs and walks out in front and points the directions as she speaks with her broom.]

Right and Left..

[She glances about, trying to see through the mist to try and see which way would be better but failing.]

Can't see anythin' here ta tell us which way would be better...

[then_there_were_none]

[Flandre glances in both directions, chittering.

Then she holds onto Cirno's hand, shakes one wing out--and beats it forwards, crystals briefly flickering white and illuminating a tracework wing shape between the prisms for an instant. The force brushed away some of the mist in front and a little to the left of them, rustling some leaves on the trees.]

I see a big building over there, that way.

[At least briefly. The hole in the mist fills back in, though slowly. It still makes Flandre frown.]

[baka_jyanai]

Well that's good enough for me! I'll stay out in front! You guys can keep the fog back!

-Just... Just don't argue with her.-

I think we can handle that one.

[With a shake of her head, Marisa puts the Hakkero in a pocket and concentrates for a moment. A small ball of wind forms and she quickly throws it, making the mist retreat for a moment longer]

Just stay on guard.

[then_there_were_none]

Okay, Cirno.

[Though Flandre looks over at Marisa a moment, with a brief kind of WHAT DO expression.

Then she reaches out to pick Cirno up under her arms and flutters up off of the ground and starting off towards that silouhette, carrying the fairy that way. This counted!]

[baka_jyanai]

H-hey! Put me down! I don't need to be carried like this! -Cirno flailed, obviously offended at Flandre's gesture.-

[Marisa just laughs to herself a bit at Cirno's flailing. She follows close by, so that she would not lose sight of either one. She just offers up a serious but reasuring smile to Flandre]

That works too. This mist does not help so stay close, okay?

[She holds another ball of wind in her hand, ready to fire it off once the mist got too thick again. She was glancing about, trying to spot anything that would be moving, hostile or friendly.]

[Good thing someone's paying attention to their surroundings.]

But, this way you can fly!

Flandreee you're embarrassing me in front of Marisaaaaa

[She's the chaperone. At least she's following some of the rules of that job! She hops upon her broom and starts to fly along, throwing the ball of wind into the mist to make it part again. At least they were getting closer to that building. She still is laughing a bit but it's dying down.]

Could be worse ya know. Aya could be here takin' pictures of this.

[Flandre's grip changes slightly to a more possessive hug.]

Don't take pictures too, Marisa.

[The building is starting to take more recognizable form; like the City Hall building in Discedo, only not as wrecked and covered in graffiti instead.]

[baka_jyanai]

Whoa... It's like the building near the craters...

Don't have a camera. Besides, Let's leave that to Aya, At least you'd know who to go after if somethin' came out.

[Her laughter finally over for now, peers at the building.]

Doesn't look too bad...Should we start here or move further in?

[then_there_were_none]

[Flandre touches down on the flat roof, letting go of Cirno for now.]

There's a door here.

[And as she says this sets about to prying the roof access door open, hooking her claws into the metal and the handle and pulling. It's locked, but that doesn't mean much when one has the strength to crumple it like tinfoil.]

[baka_jyanai]

-That's her girl!-

I think Flandre wants to go in. So we're going in.

[stardustreverie]

[She dismounts her broom and pulls out the hakkero once more. They had not run into anything so far but she was not taking any chances.]

I'm followin' you two so lead the way.

[then_there_were_none]

[The door now resembling a sadly crumpled lid off of a sardine can, Flandre chitters one, in affirmation, then reaches out for Cirno's hand before cautiously starting down the stairs. Blank papers littered the stairwell and made things slippery, and there weren't many light sources for the rest of the stairwell save for Flandre's own glowing wings and eyes and whatever Marisa conjured up.

At the base, two flights down, there are also two doors. One says "fire escape, alarm will sound" and the other door's sign is missing.]

-Cirno makes her best attempt at reading the sign, but she's obviously struggling to figure out what it actually means. Stupid English...-

[Marisa walked up a moment later, taking the time to conjure up a small orb of light before moving forward. The orb floated near the brim of her hat for now. She peers at the sign for a good moment or two,]

Alarm huh...As much fun as that sounds, I think we might wanna take the quieter option.

[She tugs on the fairy's hand a bit.]

Let's go this way, Cirno.

[And she starts to pull open the other door, the one without the words on it.]

[Though instead of a normal empty doorframe, there's just a black void.

And a face. Which Flandre just stares at for a moment, at least until it reaches out and smacks the top of her head. That makes her jump and squawk and crowhop backwards.]

-You've never seen Cirno run away faster, screaming and grabbing Flandre to get away from what the hell ever that thing was.-

[The face was enough to startle her into a fighting stance but Cirno's screaming? Not something she expected. That threw her into full out fight response and she lashed out with her broom and not a Spark, remembering that she could hurt Flandre or Cirno if she did. The broom harmlessly bounced off the frame and Marisa took a big hop backwards, trying to stay as far away from the thing as possible]

[Cirno had pulled Flandre backwards even further, and partway up the stairs again, until the next landing up where Flandre got her feet back under her from jumping and scrambling and being dragged.]

Marisa, Marisa, what's that?

[baka_jyanai]

-One would think living in Gensokyo, they'd be used to things like this... but this is Cirno and Flandre. An idiot and a basement dweller.-

Beat it up, Marisa! Beat it up!
