a tale of two warriors

Who: Yuki Kuran and Steve Rogers
Where: Around Discedo
When: Backdated to the morning of the 27th.
Rating: Pg-13 for mild themes.
Summary: Just friends meeting up, a monster shows up, and all ends well.
The Log:

( yuki had called up the captain to check up on him and was waiting where they said they would met up with an umbrella in hand. while most vampires would shriek at the thought of even staying up this late, heck even venturing out in the sun, yuki didn't mind it at all. she's always enjoyed the sun, even if it strained her eyes slightly.

so with food in hand and her communicator near, she waited for him. )

[He looks a little concerned about her admission. He hasn't been bothered by anyone, but still.]

What he did, I just don't like bullies.

[flourisher]

Would it be rude of me to ask why? You seem to be so passionate about it.

( yuki pulled away and then looked up at the sky, ignoring the stinging from the sun. her eyes held a dull flame to them. )

[itsfondue]

I used to be a little guy, routinely beat up cause I couldn't keep my mouth shut. [Has an almost dry smile.] Bucky said that I liked being punched.

[flourisher]

( yuki turns to him in an angry trance and then feels her palms glow as her fingers sink into them. )

T-That's horrible! Your an amazing person full of kindness and nothing but love! How could they do that to you?

( and then tears pour. not only for him but for all her friends. as usual she's ignorant of the suffering they carry and can do nothing to heal them. first sora, then turkey, and now steve. she could erase those memories for him or lock them but she doesn't dare bring it up; she knew that he would refuse.

also all those emotions she's feeling just caused the glass that was used for water to shatter. she should really control her emotions. )

[itsfondue]

[He looks a bit surprised at her reaction.] I-It's okay, really! [Oh gosh, now he made Yuki cry. WHY IS HE SO BAD AT SPEAKING WITH WOMEN.]

[But now he's concerned about the glass that shattered in her hand.] Yuki... your hand, can I see it?

[flourisher]

No it isn't. It breaks my heart to see such a wonderful person being abused like that.

( while the tears stop, she stares forward angrily. yuki then opens her palm in front of him and lets the glass fall. while the wounds healed quickly moments ago, blood remains. )

[itsfondue]

[He seems a little embarrassed by the compliment.] It was a while ago. [Well, just a few months really.] Everything's okay now. [Except not, but he doesn't want to upset Yuki further.]

[He inspects her palm and takes out a cloth to wipe the blood. Afterward, Steve gives her a small smile.] I appreciate your concern, but don't want you to get hurt over this.

[flourisher]

Well I can get hurt all I want see...

( and she blushes! she's never been cleaned before by another person. )

I heal and it doesn't hurt unless the wound is really deep or if you cut off my arm or something.

[itsfondue]

[Speaks in a quiet, but serious tone as he continues to wipe the blood.] Even if you can, doesn't mean you should.

[flourisher]

If you can worry about me then let me worry about you.

( yuki stares at him seriously. )

I don't want to get hurt but I can heal easily. I could be torn limb by limb and regenerate. I don't know about you however, I know you're strong but...Let me worry okay? Tell me everything.

[itsfondue]

[Steve doesn't like the thought of Yuki being torn from limb to limb, so he frowns a little. However, he decides to give her some information at least.]

I was pulled away from a world war. Don't like bullies no matter where they come from. [Hitler, the Nazis, and HYDRA... he wants to stop all of them.]

[flourisher]

That's....a very long time away from the time I come from.

( by her time humanity had already collapsed, vampires rose, vampires fought against hunters, purebloods died out, etc. etc. )

[itsfondue]

[He sits back again.] No more world wars? [He sounds a little hopeful at the thought. After all, WWII started relatively quickly after WWI ended.]

[flourisher]

Well the last big one was the one against vampires and vampire hunters. The vampire race was dying out so they began turning human into vampires. This of course was more or less a hundred years before I was born.

[itsfondue]

That's some world you live in. Never thought that a war between vampires and vampire hunters would happen. Sounds like it was a big deal though.

[flourisher]

It was. I'm the head of all purebloods and vampires in general.

( not to sound like a great person or anything, but to show that well purebloods are dying out. )

But enough of all this sadness. How have things been?

[itsfondue]

[Small smile.] Quite a responsibility you have there.

Things are well. This place isn't bad, despite its appearance. [he pulls out his journal and flips to a page, showing his drawing of some of the buildings here.]

[flourisher]

Oh my you draw very good. You are a man of many talents.

( yuki on the other hand can't sing, draw, dance, or even do well in school. hopefully her big heart makes up for that. )

[itsfondue]

Oh, um, thank you. [He's not used to all of these compliments.] This is just something I like to do. Helps me to think and keep a record of things I've seen.

[flourisher]

I'm glad that what I gave you is being used well.

[itsfondue]

It's been very helpful, material can be a bit scarce here at times. [He begins to sketch the building in front of them.] Been thinking of mapping out the cities here and some of the monsters for reference.

[flourisher]

Is that so? If you need more paper you can always ask me.

( she leans over watching him sketch. )

[itsfondue]

Think I'm good for now. [He doesn't mind, but a sudden thought hits him.] Oh, hope I'm not being rude by drawing like this.

[flourisher]

Of course not. You're never rude.

( she smiles and pats his head gently. )

[Steve is glad and continues to draw a bit. Do you want the monster to appear now?]
