a tale of two warriors

When: Backdated to the morning of the 27th.
Rating: Pg-13 for mild themes.
Summary: Just friends meeting up, a monster shows up, and all ends well.
The Log:

( yuki had called up the captain to check up on him and was waiting where they said they would met up with an umbrella in hand. while most vampires would shriek at the thought of even staying up this late, heck even venturing out in the sun, yuki didn't mind it at all. she's always enjoyed the sun, even if it strained her eyes slightly.

so with food in hand and her communicator near, she waited for him. )

[Steve is glad and continues to draw a bit. Do you want the monster to appear now?]

[flourisher]

ooc: that would be good.

[itsfondue]

[And suddenly, a Leanashe shows up to disrupt their little quiet time.

Setting down his journal, Steve immediately stands up and quickly thinks of a strategy to defeat it.]

Stay back, Yuki. [Of course, Yuki can go ahead and attack it in the mean time.]

[flourisher]

( yuki stares at him for a second before pulling out artemis from under her skirt (of course it was attached to her leg in a smaller form). she runs ahead of him and swings the scythe around, hitting the leanashe across the chest and arms. she jumps up and then slashes it across its back before falling on the floor and scraping her knees up. before she can stand up, yuki finds herself staring at the monster for a few seconds.

however due to her ability to break hallucinations, she stands back up, looking drained and tired and attacks it once more before finally killing it. in order to restore lost energy, she looms over it and without pith or fear, she sinks her teeth into the soft flesh, taking in the blood. after a few seconds, her eyes that had turned red returned to its natural colour. she turned to steve and stood straight. she stared at him innocently. )

Are you alright?

[itsfondue]

[Steve was still reaching for his shield when Yuki killed the monster in a few seconds flat. Cough. Oh. Um. Well then....

He blinks and nods slowly, not even really hearing Yuki's question that well.]

Um, yes! Great.

[flourisher]

( she walked over to him, drenched in blood and smiled softly. )

If that thing were a vampire, I would have been able to kill it faster.

[itsfondue]

You really pack a wallop. [He smiles a bit. Steve is glad that Yuki is really strong, kinda like Peggy in a way.]

[flourisher]

A wallop?

( she tilts her head and then blushes deeply. )

O-Oh no I'm all covered in blood. I must reek, I'm sorry.

[itsfondue]

Really strong.

[Looks like his cloth won't be able to wipe off this blood.]

Don't mind, it's not a big deal to me.

[flourisher]

But...

Wouldn't it be weird?

( just talking as if a five foot five inched girl wasn't covered in blood??? )

[itsfondue]

Do you feel uncomfortable? Probably isn't pleasant staying like that. I can return you back to your apartment. [He's mainly concerned about how she feels.]

[flourisher]

( she smiles at him. how cute, she's worried about he feels about seeing such gore. )

No I'm fine. I just thought it might bother you.

[itsfondue]

[In a light tone.] Wouldn't be good if I couldn't handle a little blood. [Becomes serious again.] But you're sure that you're okay like this?

[flourisher]

Perfectly fine~! Except the sun is kinda bothering me.

( so she moves back to the bench to hide under her umbrella. )

[itsfondue]

[After a moment, he moves to sit next to her again. It's not that Steve is afraid of her, after all he trusts her, but it was just still surprising to see.]

Think all the monsters retreated too. Don't think we'll be bothered again.

[flourisher]

Don't worry if they do, I'll beat them up!

( now while yuki isn't usually the aggressive type, that feeding and killing suddenly pumped the blood in her body. plus she likes protecting steve, it's so cute~ )

Do you want a treat? Cake or cookies?

[itsfondue]

Don't doubt that.

I'm okay for now. But you can go ahead and eat something.

[flourisher]

If you're sure..

( she reaches for a cloth and cleans her hands and then grabs a small cake from her basket and eats it. )

I'm so glad to be living with France, he is such an amazing cook.

[itsfondue]

[He sorta remembers France, mainly when he and America punched each other during the bodyswap incident...]

He's treating you well then?

[flourisher]

Yes he is very kind, not always around due to our sleeping habits, but the moments I see him are nice.

( now while she talks fondly of him with steve, she would never with turkey. )

[itsfondue]

Didn't know that you're living with him, but I'm glad that he's nice. [He doesn't doubt that Yuki could hold her own against a bully, but it's just better overall if people got along.]

[flourisher]

Ah not too many people know, we didn't get along too well when I was human, but afterwards he needed a place to stay and I gave him one.

( she rubs her hands together and nestles under her umbrella. )

What about you? Do you live alone?

[itsfondue]

Yes, I live alone, don't mind though. [small pause.] The room is actually bigger than what I'm used to.

[flourisher]

Is that so? Then you need to fill it up!

( she smiles. )

I want to grow sunflowers but I don't have any seeds. But when I get some I'm filling your room up full of them so you won't feel so tiny in a big room.

[itsfondue]

[slow blink. He hasn't thought of that before, but if Yuki wants to, he doesn't see why not.]

That sounds swell, but don't you want some for your own room too? Don't wanna hog all the flowers to myself.
