Summary: They’ve fallen into a hole.
The Log:

The pits had been opening all over the city. It was inevitable that Helen would eventually find herself falling into one. Fortunately, the fall hadn’t seemed to do any lasting damage, if she imagined she might be a bit sore in the morning.

Pulling herself upright, she absently dusted herself off, looking upward. If the network posts were any indication, she doubted she would have much luck getting out on her own. Hand against the wall, she began a slow circuit around the outer edge of the pit.

The Doctor...was decidedly not paying attention to where he was going. He was much too busy examining his screwdriver.

"Oh you, stop that, would you? I know there's something wrong, I won't know what it is unless you tell me yaAAAAAAAAAaa!"

Oh look he fell down a hole.

Helen winced slightly as the man joined her, offering him a hand up. Ah. He looked familiar. At least this time they were entirely themselves. Though, she had admittedly enjoyed her time in his body.

"Not coming to my rescue, I assume?"

"Wha? Rescue, I- oh."
He looks up and realizes that, yes, they're stuck here.

And then he looks around at the second person in this pit. "...Do I know you? I feel like I know you."

It's cute, his confusion, but she thinks it might be best not to draw attention to that. Still, she most definitely looks amused.

"Quite intimately, I would imagine."

"Hmm... Are you one of River's friends? She does seem to know everyone around here."

He's just gonna keep guessing.

"One could say that. Though I'd like to think she doesn't treat all her friends in such a manner."

And she's going to let him. It's much too entertaining not to.

"...I'm afraid I don't understand."

Smiling, she offers her hand. They'd really never been formally introduced, had they? "Helen Magnus. I believe you were quite in possession of my body not so long ago."

"Oh, OH, that was YOU! Hello! I'm the Doctor!" He grins and shakes the offered hand. "I took good care of you, I promise."

"I appreciate that." She gives him an appraising look. "I hope you found the same? It was quite an experience."

[allthecoolgear]

"Indeed it was. I'd never been a girl before, it was quite interesting, though admittedly that was the least interesting part. I mean, one heart? How do you people stand it..."

"I found it quite disconcerting having two. Though I imagine there are certain benefits."

It was a shame, really, that she couldn't do more extensive testing. He would have been fascinating to study.

"True. Perhaps a study of that is in order? But not right now, right now we're... stuck in a very large hole."

"That we are." She glanced upward, again trying to judge how difficult it might be to get out of said hole. "Any ideas?"
