[Incomplete] Tricky Steps
Who: Ai, Sai, Linali Li
Where: From Horton Lane to St. Andrew's Hospital
When: Following this conversation.
Rating: PG/PG-13 for violence and other scary things.
Summary: After attempting to learn more about the hospital, Ai and Sai planned to set out with an escort, Linal, in order to reach their ultimate destination. But in Discedo, things are never so easy...
the log:
Ai stood alone on the corner of the sidewalk, next to a broken crossing post, as the rain continued to fall down into a steady stream. Only this time she was somewhat prepared for the weather, with a dark coat (admittedly oversized and not really suited for the rain) hanging off her shoulders. The hood of the coat had been pulled over her hair and obscured her face somewhat, but not enough for her to be unable to take a good look around at her surroundings as she waited. So far, there was no sign of any monsters prowling around the street, and Ai was thankful for that. She was unarmed. But there was still plenty of evidence left behind as to when they've been there, including the extra cracks and broken asfault left in the wake of the latest chimera attack. - She was still thankful she had a good view of the beasts from Luxord's apartment before even thinking of stepping outside during their raid. Who knows what would have happened...
Her grip tightened over a pair of plastic bags in her hands; one for each palm. One carried food supplies, the few that she could scavange from the convenience store, while the other carried a pair of blankets. If it were anyone else, you'd think that she was heading home with them. But... such was not the case. She was simply waiting, waiting for Sai to come down and meet her and for Linali Li to arrive to Horton Lane. It would be the first time the two of them had ever met outside of a communication line, and so the woman did not know what to expect from her in the end.
