Summary: Scientists have pets. People want them. Time for a road trip!
The Log:

Sunday morning comes and it's time to set out for this paper factory Kain wants everyone to go see. After his intial post on the network, Adam contacted those who were still interested in going with the time and place to meet up: outside Dissimulo's entrance bright and early that morning.

Well...time to get started then.

[ Hong Kong, when he was littler and more prone to being a hand-biting hellion, would've descended on the box like a vulture. This Hong Kong has some more self-control. He raises a hand, shaking his head so he can politely refuse. Not because he doesn't want the candy, you can bet he wants it... it's just polite to refuse something a few times before you accept.

Sometimes he can show good manners, really. And here's a secret: he's probably making the extra effort because he was really glad to hear the word "family" just now. Shh. ]

[China takes no offense at all, but keeps the gentle smile on his face.]

All right, then. I'll just save some for you later, Japan and Taiwan will probably want some too. Speaking of, who else from our family is here? Because if everyone is here, we'll really have to be careful on how we divide the candy.

Taiwan and Japan, yeah. And Korea. I guess.

[ He hasn't seen Korea lately, but he could be around and just avoiding Hong Kong. Ever since that toothpaste incident.... ]

Is that all? You, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea?

And Macau, yeah? [ Obviously. China knows Macau's here, doesn't he? ] We live together.

[Nope, hasn't spoken or seen him yet.]

Really? Macau too? Well, I'll have to find him soon then. I haven't spoken to him for some time.

I'm sure he'd like to talk to you too. [ A beat. ] Come over, visit us. After we get back.

I will be sure to do so! I could bring some tea over, along with any New Year food that may still be left~

Ah, but you know, Hong Kong, on the night of the twenty-first of January, I had a dream, but it was no ordinary dream.

What do you mean 'not an ordinary dream?'

It was a memory! I remembered the Christmas I had spent together with Stocking during my last time here.

That's all, but at least it's better than nothing. I'm sure I'll remember everything piece by piece. [Because then it'd be overwhelming to have everything come back to him all at once.]

By the way, just what were you doing out there?

[ Another sort of appraising look. ] You remembered? That's good, yeah?

[ Hm. He's sort of... envious? But that doesn't show in the least, because he's still as expressionless as he ever is. ]

I was exploring. Don't worry, I won't get lost. [ He has a good sense of direction. ]

Yes, very! She was so happy when I told her about it.

I'm sure you won't, but of course I will still worry. It's a habit of most older brothers', you know? Plus we don't really know what's out here.

I bet she was. [ He looks out, toward the area he was exploring again. ]

You don't have to worry about me. I'm fine on my own, yeah?

[He'll go ahead and put on a small smile. He places a hand atop the other's head affectionately.]

Just try not to get into too deep of a trouble. [Though, in the back of his mind he can only imagine the sort of things that Hong Kong might get involved in.]

I'm not a kid anymore, y'know? [ Crossing his arms. ]

[He ruffles Hong Kong's hair.]

Hey, I'm not embarrassed. [ Looking sidelong at China. ]

Why are you turning pink, then?

[He withdraws his hand.]

I'm totally not. [ Lies, old man, lies! ]

[He pokes one of the tinted cheeks.]

Yes, you are.

Well, I've got no reason to. [ He endures the poking. ]

Come on, no one else is looking.

Yeah, that's exactly why I have no reason to get embarrassed. [ Puffing his cheeks out just a little. ]

[The poking stops and he just sits back and sighs contently.]
