Fine, fine... [Here have five bags] I didn't know you were coming along...

[gochuugoku]

[His knees buckle slightly at the sudden weight. He said one, not five!]

I wasn't aware that you were coming either.

[He frowns slightly.]

Do you have anything to defend yourself with?

[meilihua]

Well. You know, I've been keeping up on my hand-to-hand so I hoped that would be okay. [Or she'd just...try to stay out of it]

[gochuugoku]

That is good. [He nods.]

But with these monsters hand-to-hand isn't always enough,I should know after what that demonic woman did to me. [He means the Witch.] Some are very large too, like the Chocobo Eaters.

I have a spare weapon if you're willing to take it.

[meilihua]

Ah? You do? What is it?

[gochuugoku]

[He takes on of the handguns from his belt and holds it up.]

This is from the sixties, but it still fires well. [If only he had a sword, but he didn't. He would have to make her one when they come back.]

[meilihua]

[Her hands shake a little as she takes the gun from him, fingers wrapping around it to test the weight and heft. Her eyes seem very troubled]

[gochuugoku]

Now, where do you want these bags placed? [Talks as though he didn't just hand her a firearm.]

[meilihua]

[She startles, nearly dropping the gun, but her grip is firm] I think the kitchen is that way...

[gochuugoku]

[He walks with her, letting her lead since he can't really see with all these bags in his way.]

...Do you want me to take the gun back?

[meilihua]

Well it's...better to be safe than sorry, right?

[gochuugoku]

But who knows what we will find out there, they might not be like the monsters we've already seen.

Besides, you know how to handle a gun.

[He just didn't feel comfortable leaving her unarmed, especially since he can't always keep his eye on her anymore. After all, she was not a child anymore, he had to admit that even though he didn't want to.]

[meilihua]

W-well, yes but I don't have to like it... [T-taiwan, you kind of have a standing army and mandatory military service]

[gochuugoku]

I just want you to be safe. [His tone is gentle.]

[meilihua]

I...I know... [Her face is a little more determined now, as she activates the safety of the gun and puts it in one of the bags she is actually carrying]

[gochuugoku]

[He walks toward one of the kitchen counters.]

Is this where you would like them? [He means the bags.]

[meilihua]

Yes, right there is fine...

[She looks a little nervous, standing there] I really hope I brought enough... What do you think?

[gochuugoku]

[He smiles at her after he's set the bags down carefully.]

It looks fine. We will only be gone for a couple of days, or maybe weeks. This is more than enough to get us through.

[meilihua]

Y-yeah, it should be! I've just...heard that Captain Luffy eats a lot so...

[gochuugoku]

[He laughs a bit.] That he does! But he's a good young man and a good friend.

[meilihua]

Mm. [She looks around the kitchen, and then she grins at China, a bit unexpectedly] So... If you're not busy, any ideas on what we should eat today?

[gochuugoku]

Oh... [He taps at his chin with a finger.] How about some fried rice?

[meilihua]

Good idea, it'll be easy to make a big batch of that for everyone...
