Who: Asia family + Stocking
Where: China and Stocking's Apartment within the Marshall building.
When: Early afternoon on June 3rd
Rating: PG-13, most likely
Summary: The groom's family meets the bride and future sister-in-law.
The Log:
China had sent out a text to his family members a week in advance before the scheduled meeting, so when he awoke that morning of the set date he was feeling slightly nervous. As far as he knew, his siblings never had as much interaction with Stocking as he did. Then of course was the usual worry of the family not approving the bride to be. Despite his worries, he helped Stocking clean the apartment, he prepared some tea, snacks, and of course sweets. He was dressed in his red outfit with his hair neatly combed into its usual ponytail.
After setting the tray of tea and food down on the low table, he stood up to scan over the apartment briefly. Everything seemed in order, so now all there was to do was wait. He glances over in Stocking's direction to give her a small smile before returning his gaze to the door.

"Well, of course red and gold would be the primary choices for the decorations, as well as the wedding garments. Also, I was considering that we draw the Dragon and Fenghuang on the doorway of the building in which the ceremony will be held. Ah, speaking of locations, we have a few suggestions. ...Do you have any suggestions for locations as well, Taiwan?"

"One of them is the high school's gym. I remember you setting up the Lantern Festival there and how you made the building look nicer on the inside. We could do the same for the wedding with some decoration and possibly a little renovation."

"When we return home and find each other again, we'll have an even better ceremony. With the drummers, horns, the whole parade, and we'll rent one of the best locations in China. So for now, we will do whatever we can here."

He has to clear his throat before speaking. "Yes, Chinese wedding cakes are small and easy to make. Then of course there are many other types of sweets we could make." The one large wedding cake, for example!
"Speaking of food, I've been thinking about what to serve at the engagement party. The wedding feast too." And that's A LOT of food since Chinese wedding feasts consist of eight, or sometimes ten, courses.

"Duck would definitely be something great to have at the wedding feast. I will catch a few in Dissimulo. Shark fin soup would also be good, if we can find a shark, that is. What else...? Ah! Sea cucumber! Lobster, squid, fish roe... I wonder if we would be able to find any swift nests to make bird's nest soup? We could make some rice too. And sweets, as we have already discussed." He sips at his tea.

"I know. Sea cucumber may exist somewhere here, but we lack the diving equipment to dive down and retrieve them. Same goes for the lobster. On the other hand, I've seen squid in the lake, flying fish too. If we're lucky, we might be able to get some fish roe from the latter." He pauses to pop one of the cut fruits into his mouth. He chews and swallows it before speaking again. "Of course we can always make bao and other favorite Chinese dishes." He chuckles. "Perhaps you should make some of that shaved ice of yours as one of the desserts."
Since their wedding will most likely occur while the warmer months are still in place and with so many people in one enclosed area, the temperature is bound to go up.

Then he turns his eyes to Stocking. He reaches out across to put a hand on her shoulder. "Would you like me to ask the same person who took my chip out? She doesn't use surgery to remove chips."
